cannot add Humble Bundle link to giveaway

I'm trying to create giveaway with Humble Bundle link ( redeemable on Steam ) and I'm getting error:
"Only Steam redeemable keys, or gift links from Steam or Humble Bundle are allowed."

Set it as a gift, you can give the link to the winner afterwards.

Yeah, that's workaround. But I was asking why that type of URL is not working.

Put a space after the link and hit enter. Worked for me.

I used different link and it worked. Maybe it was problem it was not "/gift" but "/download".

Use bit.ly or Goo.gl? to shorten link, SG has a limited number of characters that can be put into the key/gift link, if it's too long, you can't add it.

It wouldn't work since SG wouldn't recognize the link as valid. As the OP found out, it only works with /gift links

Gift links from IG also can be added? Or only HB?

Only HB, you don't need gift links for IG anyway. (Nor do you need them for new HB games either.

Only HB. Which means the link-shortener method probably doesn't work either, if they are looking for the HB domain in the URL.

Unless it's an old HB link which doesn't show the key. In that case it can be given to the winner at the end of the giveaway by traditional means.

you can make key from old HB links too ,at least i done that some time back ,but how old that links was ,i dont remember...

You have keys in very old bundles (before the linked account system) and new ones. Those that were bought while the linked account was in place will not show you the key.

It's not possible :/ There's only button to connect to steam and redeem via steam api.
