I paused my subscription to try to get out of that. Didn't work. I now have a support ticket out with them, if they can't apply it to my account I will vote with my wallet and do no more business with Humble Bundle (probably).
Edit: I was able to cancel my membership and get the coupon applied as I resubscribed. It did charge me but my new next payment date is in Feb so I think it is good now.

I just canceled my membership and joined again with the $6 coupon applied for the next 6 months. On the membership sections says: "Your Month-to-Month Premium Plan will automatically renew on Friday, February 26, 2021" which obviously (or at least I hope so) means I just paid $6 for the January since I've already paid for the December. The moment of truth is coming on the first day of 2021...

December was paid on 9th.
Then yesterday, this deal came up and I cancelled and re-subscribed and it immediately deducted $6 from my PP and showed it's for December monthly so I asked support for clarification.
They refunded $6 but the coupon stays so for the next 6 months, it's $6/mo for premium :)

If I go to the Billing History (https://www.humblebundle.com/user/subscriptions/humble_monthly/billing) it says "Next Billing Date February 26, 2021 at 10:00:00 AM PST (your next month has already been paid)". I'm not sure why they refunded you. Since we both already paid for December and subscribing again we actually getting charged for the January bundle (that's why the next billing date is February 26, 2021. Also for us that already paid the December then the deal for $6 is actually for 5 months (Jan, Feb, March, Apr, May) cause the coupon is Valid until Jun 4, 2021, 10:00:00 AM.

Edit: For anyone wondering, no it doesn't once you claim the 12 months it will cancel the 6 months plan and you will only keep 1 extra month.

Thanks! Had the €10/$12 subscription for a while, then quit a few months ago. Would have almost bought the 12 months for $99 thing recently. Glad I didn't. Paid less than €5 now and even though I totally predict that the game selection will become worse it can't become that bad. At least every month so far was absolutely worth €5, a few decent indie games are enough to make up for that.

It appears that if I buy this month's Choice this deal is automatically applied? When I click unlock your choices it shows
$6 USD a month to subscribe to Humble Classic for 6 months (if I were to go through with unlocking).
And when I click on your link it says "Subsequent months will be billed at $21.58/month" which I wouldn't wanna risk losing my $12/month classic and not get it back, will wait and see what people say.

I'm on a month-to-month classic plan, but I've only ever purchased two monthly bundles, and both used $4 and $2 coupons. I'm unable to pick up this deal, since it reports "Sorry, as an active subscriber you cannot currently purchase a different subscription plan." I tried unpausing and then pausing again, but no change.
It's bizarre, since if I could access the $6 for 6 months deal, Humble would actually be getting more money from me than they had throughout my entire classic plan, because I couldn't pause it during that half year. Very odd algorithm on their part.

Sent a ticket to support about about the " Sorry, as an active subscriber you cannot currently purchase a different subscription plan." message. I hate (big) sites that don't have chat support. It's 2020(1). You can't expect people to contact support by fax and wait five days for a return.

That's nice. But from your other comment, I assume you didn't have the classic plan. For those that do have the classic plan, cancelling the subscription means losing it forever. As good as this deal is, it's just not worth it.

That’s one hell of a deal if I ever saw one, currently using the $8 for 6 months coupon (which I already thought was a great deal), probably going to cancel that and get this instead.
