yes. Get a tissue ready
around ~4.5 hours gametime straight if you explore everything and read everything thoroughly trying to understand the whole story in all angles
The dev is so confident that he will give a full refund if you didn't liked the game

It's quite nice but short. Gameplay consists of mostly just clicking on stuff until the end.
People say they got really emotional playing it, but I didn't really get that...

The story was hands down one of the best i've ever seen. Won't gonna spoil it though. Too bad i ruined my game after i watched some major spoilers on youtube (Ohgodwhythehelldididothat). The graphic itself was awesome. Beautifully drawn enviroment everywhere. It is short, but it was worth it

Buy it for the narrative. It's pretty good. I was plagued by a couple bugs but still managed to complete the story... I had to.

I would personally give more than 8 euro to the game developers because such story is rarely found. It has something from EVERY genre of movies/books/scenes - Drama, Comedy, Mystery, horror. And to be honest, i haven't met a person that hasn't showed his emotions to the game. Some are lying that they haven't cried or anything, but i can see it in their eyes how much they have enjoyed the story. Yes, it has some 8-bit graphics but AGAIN, the story washes that away.
And the Soundtrack... Just amazing.
Worth it.

Consider these words from Kan Gao, the developer:
"There is one thing I ask for. And that is to play it without any preconceived notion of it being a game, a book or a pixel movie. Just treat it regardless of what medium it's categorized under and see if it's an enjoyable way of storytelling."
The author of the game is an artist. He enjoys telling stories and composing music for them. To The Moon is not an RPG. It's hardly even an adventure. Some of his other projects aren't even interactive to begin with. It's just his way of telling a beautiful and emotional story, this is all he wanted and he succeeded in every possible way, both as an artist and as a writer. So unless you're a very cynical person who doesn't like heartfelt stories, you should enjoy it.

I bought the Collector's Edition (with soundtrack) yesterday (instabuy) and went through the intro. The music is great. It's well worth the current sale price due to the unique atmosphere of it, at the least. Can't wait to get back into it later today/tomorrow.

I bought it from the site for like $15 bucks I think, and I have never regretted it. One of the most amazing emotional experiences I have gotten using a game as a medium. For as cheap as it is now, get it. Play it, it will take a few/several hours, and I really think you will enjoy it.

It was an instabuy for me. Even got the soundtrack bundle. As far as I know that should be ongoing, the 50% of the soundtrack money will go to autism charity. You don't only buy an amazing game and support the dev, you also manage to donate. :D

DO IT! I actually got it as a gift from a friend today, it has been on my wishlist forever and never actually bought it for myself. I just played for an hour, and it's a beautiful game. Idk how easily you get emotional, but I need a box of tissues while playing. :3

It's a nice game, with a gently told but poignant storyline.
The actual gameplay itself takes something of a back seat, so if you're looking for a game which will have you wrestling with your controller and putting your reflexes to the test, this isn't for you.
Personally I really enjoyed it. Some of the humour was a little hit-and-miss, but it was a tale worth telling, and a pleasant change of pace from some of the other games I was playing at the time.

Just buy it, dammit. Who cares if it has been in a bundle or had a better discount.

The title is pretty self explanatory here. I'm considering To The Moon, but I'm hesitant because of money being tight. So, is it worth getting? I want your opinions!
Also - no giveaway this time. Maybe next time?
(EDIT: Maybe throwing this up at 2am CST wasn't my best plan? Activity seems to be lulling, but I haven't really been online much today... so...)
EDIT 2: I'm leaning towards going for it, but I'm too tired to commit to it tonight. I'll most likely grab it in the morning before it goes off sale. Thanks for the opinions so far!
Edit 3: And, purchased! Thanks for all the opinions on it. Hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as you all did. I tried about 5 minutes of the demo and it seems alright. I liked the art style and it made me laugh a few times.
