MGS series coming soon to Steam

Need a more reliable source before i get excited.
And yeah I read this right before I had to leave but it's 8 months old, no big news site covered this since.
Also "Finally, PC ports of MGS1, MGS2, MGS3 and MGS4 are bound to be released digitally via Valve's e-Commerce portal Steam." Really? This news is just put into one line as a sidenote. I don't think this is small enough news to anyone game related to be stowed away on the end of a gossip article. There is no point in even discussing it here, no indication recent MGS titles would come to PC let alone Steam. Even Rising has become uncertain at this point.

I'm skeptical about that.

If this isn't true I'm gonna go on a rampage.

Somehow I don't see it happening with the older ones. Maybe with Rising.

Hope this is true, I already own MGS 1 and MGS 2 but maybe the new one is the HD version like the console version.

Yeah, no.

This may be old and rumour, but note something important - it mentions MGSRising switching to PLatinum, which //did// end up being true, despite how hard they tried to keep it under wraps. So, while I have my doubts, you never know. There could be some legitness to it.

That's amazing! These better be quality ports... if they even come out at all.

None of that is true.. Rising did indeed switch to Platinum, and Peace Walker did get a PS3 (not so re)make, however, MGS1 and 2 are already on PC.

Enjoy your consolized ports, while I play them on the system they were made for.

I'm not even gonna comment (even though, I've just made it :D) Cruel jokes are not funny :P

Once it appears on Kotaku or Rock Paper Shotgun I will piss a centaur.

The sole fact it includes MGS4 just made me come, twice.

I still have the first one on the 2cd format, and the second one on dvds, and snake eater on the PS2, which i still play on the emulator now.

Lets just BEG it is really true.

I hope they make a better version of MGS2 because that was a bad PC port and I mean BAD.

Never really cared about the series, yet somehow I ended up with 1 (for PS1, lasers made me ragequit), 2 (for both PS2 and XBox, beat the PS2 version and never touched the XBox version) and 3 (played like an hour of and ended up selling that PS2. I kept my games, though).

I had more fun with the card based Metal Gear Acid on PSP than I did with the three Solid games combined. :P

3 and 4 wont be ported over to the steam platform, and 1 and 2 will not be updated/redone/remastered/w.e. either. As much as I would slam down my 200 bucks for a completely updated and PC centered ports of this franchise, it will not happen.

OMG if all that is true, maybe they will also do a pc version of bayonetta <3 <3 <3
