Far Cry 3 cooperation and multiplayer online?

Are they good? I already played the single player on Xbox 360. A friend of mine bought it on Steam and, since I've many games I don't played yet, I wanted to ask you if the cooperative mode is worth it, has a "plot", or it's CoD-like as the multiplayer online.

The Co-Op is a crappy rail shooter, no ties to FC3 whatsoever.

This. You play the coop in specific maps that look like hallways, you can barely play stealthy. It can still be fun however.

It's semi-decent, nothing special.

In true Ubisoft Fashion though it's a bug riddled mess that doesn't really work at all. Multiplayer in general for Far Cry 3 on PC is pretty much unplayable.

Multiplayer is awful from first hand experience. No dedicated servers means that whoever your random host for the match is determines your lag. Switching hosts happens all the time, and people tend to lag.

It's also mildly dead.
