Do you see any evil in purchasing this bundle?

View Results
10 cents per game - the collector in me is happy with the purchase!
I already own some, but it's still a good buy for me.
Buying one or more copies for giveaways.
Nah, I'll pass. Gonna try and with the ones I don't own already.
Nothing interesting in this bundle for me, even at that price.

Was waiting for this ;)

I find it somewhat odd that they at the same time failed any mention of the fact that all of them includes achievements though. Achievements seem to have an almost equal importance in a lot of peoples mind. I cry inside every time someone states there's no point playing a game if they don't get achievements for doing so

I actively avoid playing games with absurd amounts of achievements these days. No fanatically but if I'm aware there is an abundance of them it will have a big influence on my decision. It's silly and sort of sad since some of the games I choose to ignore because of this might be enjoyable. I hope I'll learn to ignore them completely at some point.

It really depends on games. Try payday 2. 1076 achievements for now. You won't get them unless you play it a lot and work as a team. Some of the DS OD achievements are annoying as hell. But the game is super fun.

I know that feel. Around 2 years ago i was almost done with all of the achievements and i decided to get a break. When i came back they added 100+ achievements most of which were about one down. Actually i did all of them in a short period as i thought they were easy and after that i stopped playing again. Last time i checked i have to earn 200 more achievements, its crazy but i like it as they offer a new challenge.

+1 collectors don't need cards. Their decision is only: owned/unowned.
Otherwise the trash we got since Valve changed the addition of trading cards to a game wouldn't be bought. But GoGo is actually selling bundles with rarely cards for the games and DIG is selling those games, too.
I'm guessing the audience for getting cheap bundled games with cards is more likely built by bots (though they prefer completely free games) or kids who want to push their Steam wallet a bit.

I don't recognize any game names but own 8 of 10 for some reason, probably bought them for cheap at Steam directly. Even though they haven't been bundled before, most games are really cheap on their own.

Not bad, I only own Splatter out of all of them.

Own all but one (and don't want that one), bought Fate Tectonics not all that long ago directly on Steam for the price of this bundle.... For the price, I guess it's worth it. Easy skip for me though ;)

Thank you for thread and chart, Sensualshakti! :D

There's nothing wrong with 10 cent games but they are all repeats. ^^

Don't know why but Hunter's Grimm now is called Zoop! - Hunter's Grimm although.. I don't remember the first part of the game title a year ago XD

Half for my library and the other half for GA. Battle Ranch is a mediocre game but i think they have done well with cards, badges, and emoticons i will keep it just for that.

I liked it... poor man's Plants vs. Zombies, kept me entertained.
But that broken achievement at the boss-level and having to redo THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN to try again is just utter utter BS.

Missing 3 and only Hunter's Grimm looks slightly interesting of those... nah, I'll pass.

For some reason, it's on my wishlist. Can't remember why though and all those achievements are slightly offputting to me

I didn't scroll to the achievs.
Dammit why do Steam games keep doing this. Only reason I am forced to use SAM now is to LOCK all those achievs. I don't want to use that piece of software, why are you forcing me Steam???

Permalink

So we are able to prevent achievements from unlocking? I might have to look into that at some point

Nothing oficially. But if there would be an unofficial tool to block achiev drops from some games I would use that tool.

You can even undo already obtained achievements.

Oh, for some reason I imagined we couldn't since I've seen so many complaints about games with broken achievements that ruins peoples completion rates. It's a bit odd that they let us change a server-side statistic though

Battle Ranch is pretty fun if you're looking for something similar to the original Plants Vs Zombies.

You're welcome. It's a relatively short game, too (and not terribly difficult), so you could finish it in one sitting.

Paid 22c for that on Steam (before the min cost thing they implemented).
Poor man's Plants vs. Zombies but it's something if you played that game grey. Rather easy, nothing much new. There have been way worse attempts to rip of PvZ.

This is (normally) Indiegala level tho. Not buying -- don't feel like spending dollar on low quality bundles nowadays.
