and now it's when you realize that you lost your time, and with the time you used to enter that giveaways you should be doing some extra hours at work and buy yourself the game in any steam sales and you will still have some extra free time for play the game compared with the time you passed entering the giveaways and navigating in this web.

Can't be arsed to do official gibaways nowadays, I just tend to drop keys into SG chat whenever I felt like it. Barely enter into even wishlisted GA as well, no idea why though. Maybe I'm too lazy to participate in GA since I don't really create one nowadays.

one helpful thing could be using the android client, makes it easier to enter gibs on the go, you'll eventually win good stuff https://f-droid.org/en/packages/net.mabako.steamgifts/

you should increase your level if you can, enter lower entry number gibs and delve into the forums too for low entry gibs.

Look at my entered number almost 60k in 4 years and won 400, I never used bots, I just spend a bit more time entering gibs strategically and the android client is big help in that.

Statistics are made to be true when considering a large number of cases. So, the estimate of Steamgifts tend to be the reality only if you participate in a great number of giveaways (otherwise it's just a funny thing to look at).

what's the rush to win if you still have over 80% of your wins unplayed? 🤷

Only enter what I'd play and wouldn't be ashamed to show in my library. Been four months for me as well since previous win, but can't complain since I've "won 1 more gift than estimated." :)

But, to be honest, at the beginning I used to enter a lot of weird stuff. Now I regret it and only enter what I'm interested in.

Same like you! When I first joined though, I definitely wasn't as concerned or selective of the GAs I entered (though always entered the ones wishlisted or had interest in). Like of games I want to play, even if I can't right now unfortunately (only have access to Mac OSX), but definitely will once I have saved up for a Windows PC/good wifi/ etc. Which is gonna take years, but one day those Windows or big games will be played!

For weeks now though, there's GAs of games I thought I wanted/wishlisted, but now that the opportunity is actually in front of me, I realized I don't want them that much anymore or lost full interest even. Which is really weird, but is a good thing imho and am glad to realize that. So other people/someone else will get to experience them instead. Personally one thing I never had a desire to do though is to win just to farm for cards or to collect.

Some things I think about when entering GAs:

• Do I really want to play this right now or try it anytime soon?
• Will I be able to 100% it? (achievements are something I definitely care/stress about) 😅
• Is it playable on my system right now or is it one that will pretty much, sadly, sit in the library possibly for a long time?
• This one might be silly, but when my gut feeling is feeling something different I just don't enter

I'm also in a group where we have to play our wins within a month and it's kept me mindful/responsible for the games I enter or want for sure!

15 months since my last win. that's okay though, i don't have a lot of time to play the games i have...

I too only enter what I'm interested in, but what I'm interested in has also grown because of what I've discovered on SG, causing my wishlist to double in a couple months. My playtime is sporadic - Some days I'll get/put several hours in, and sometimes I'll go days without playing. Using this and the sister site are easy for me to do for a short period of time between other stuff.

Good thing there's some smaller private groups that can give us a great chance at winning games that we might be interested in ;)
