Please use brackets to give the game's name and parentheses with a link to its Store page, followed by your reason; thanks!
If you like Efficiency, you may like []() because this is so fast to copy.
Look a couple comments below for a chart format, but including Store links is great.

Well hell, good to hear. I totally didn't make this thread only because I just learned how to make tables and charts yesterday.

Doki Doki Literature Club | Lucid9 | Both decent Visual Novel with a specific... genre. Not quite the same thing, but still enjoyable. Oh, and both are free on Steam. |

No free games provide cards? I tried to exclude games more expensive than free like a smart ass, but nothing came up.

Portal 2 | ChromaGun | Similar gameplay, first person puzzle-solving with peculiar gun. You will also learn about color mixing a bit. |
Super Meat Boy | Blitz Breaker | Very good and challenging platformer. Gameplay is a little bit unusual since you use only directional keys, but controls are super tight. Have achievements that actually matter and good for speedruns if you are into that. |
Super Meat Boy | Dustforce DX | Like SMB rage-inducing at times with superior controls |
Super Meat Boy | Electronic Super Joy | Same thing with a little 18+ content added in the mix. Oh Yeah!™ |
Monument Valley | Evo Explores | Just look at screenshots and compare |
Battleblock Theater | Kalimba | If you want to play co-op puzzle platformer it doesn't get better than this. 24 single and 10 co-op levels in total which should keep you busy for some time. Strongly recommend Kalimbundle DLC which adds 10 single and 10 co-op levels. Great for speedrunning / chasing better leaderboard times than your friends. |
M. C. Escher | The Bridge | . |
to train your ears | Circuits | . |
puzzle games | Divide By Sheep, Hitman GO, Snakebird, Sokobond, Stephen's Sausage Roll, A Good Snowman Is Hard To Build, She Remembered Caterpillars | You like puzzle games. |

I would totally compare Nuclear Throne and It came from space, and ate our brains with the Smash TV game style because I actually played both and found the same fun on them (as much as dificulty to finish them)...
I'll probably come with more suggestions about Smash TV, since that was one of my favorite gameplay genre.

Thanks, adding that, but for 3-D Zelda gameplay. For 2-D Zelda-style action, I'm adding Shipwreck.

We often see "What should I buy?" threads with limited information about the poster's own personal interests.
We also have "Hidden Gems" threads, which while more flexible, cast a wide net to advertise lesser-known games.
We could create a more targeted way to attract people to overlooked titles:
If you like Popular Game, maybe check out this Less-Popular Game, because Reasons Dammit.
The Steam Store has this functionality, but it seems to be hit-or-miss. After all my idling, the recommendations are often wonky.
Check out SteamPeek, a whole website with this functionality!
