I really wish it was a rule to make your steam gift inventory public to be able to make a giveaway.
I am sure it would end a lot of the stupid people from calling out those with the honest giveaways.
What say you?

Steam allows his users to set it private, so Steamgifts cant force them to make it public. Thats it. Discussion ended.

Edit: Of course once a week to sync the profile but not for always.

calling out people in itself is against the rules, so the people that call out should be the ones receiving warning/bans :P

It's someones right to not want to show his inventory publicly ( this might prevent beggine and the like )

From what I've seen, private inventories aren't generally the reason for people calling out gifters. It's usually the fact that they're giving away two copies of a game that they don't own and is on their wishlist.

No it isn't. You must set your profile to public at least once a week in order to sync your account but your inventory can remain private the entire time.
