I saw one Japanese where Godzilla lived(there was also a little Godzilla, and a kid who protected him, and I think more monsters, don't know the name ), I saw the 1998 Godzilla too but I remember it was like a toy crushing the town, I also saw the American Godzilla too. I'm not really fan of it, so maybe that's why I could be wrong.

Looks freaking fun. Cranston and Watanabe bring the gravitas.

I'm oddly optimistic. The trailer alone was better than the other american remake..
Also, the trailer got me in the mood to watch Godilla vs Mechagodzilla 2 now. So that's a good sign!

Wonder what the owner of the cloverfield monster looking claw looks like.

We know there have been at least 2 confirmed monsters (since on the official site it says godzilla faces monsters) but here a screens of the monsters:
Comic-con trailer monster
Flying monster 2
Bug-like arm
So i am excited for some monster on monster action. But the flying monster is not Rodan, as Legendary does not have the rights to Rodan. It is their own flying monster.

I'm still trying to figure out the point of the halo jump from last trailer. Is there an actual reason other than 'it looks cool?'

Yeah, can't figure that one out, too...
I mean, they MUST know what's down there, right? Nowadays everyone and their mother has a smartphone with a cam, so even if they didn't see that huge thing walking into the city, they sure as hell had citizens take pictures of it, right?

Honestly, I was really surprised with the new Robocop reboot, it wasn't great, but it was pretty good.
I have "fairly" high hopes for the latest Godzilla movie, I hope they learned from the massive mistake that was Godzilla 1998... o_O

Cant wait , the 1998 movie was pretty bad , but anything over that is better.

I'm approaching with caution after that '98 disaster. I love Godzilla, but that one was horrid. The only reason it's allowed to rot on my shelf is for the sake of having it in my collection... but that's sorta like keeping a rotten apple in your fruit bowl to fill it out. :p
That said, I'm not going to write it off just because it's American like the '98 movie. The trailer really does look awesome, and it's actually got my hopes up too.

And it was epic!
Since 1998 my hope of a good Godzilla movie by an american movie maker was crushed, But this trailer has all my hopes up.
And Bryan Cranston makes it awesome by default.
