"The latest update for Palworld ‘Feybreak’ has now taken a monster catching smash hit game of 2024 back to the top 10 spot on Steam charts following a massive debut in January. With over 200,000 players on Steam jumping into the game last weekend, it’s safe to assume that gamers love the new update.

It has been a week since Palworld Feybreak launched and the player count kept rising and hit a new all-time high player count. The game widely called ‘Pokémon with Guns’ peaked at over 2.1 million players on launch and is currently the third in terms of all time player count. The game is also available on the Xbox Game Pass, so the overall numbers are likely much higher.

This update also comes after a lawsuit from Nintendo regarding various mechanics inside the Palworld which are patented. The lawsuit resulted in the developers changing the pal catching and summoning mechanics by throwing the pal sphere. Players, however, did not care much for the change as the core gameplay remained the same.

Palworld’s back!
Feybreak was the second major update for the game and the biggest expansion for Palworld by Pocketpair this year. The update also brought a ton of new things inside the game, including several new pals, new faction, bounty system, level cap, gameplay mechanics and a massive new island to explore. On the other hand, the game is also set to do a collab with Terraria next year."
