It used to be possible to craft badges without spending anything, but that was a long time ago, especially in the first years of trading cards. You can trade at best now, just don't expect to make a profit. There are still some pricy backgrounds here and there but people don't buy them anymore because of Points Shop.

I'm looking for badges that are not too expensive to make with a chance to drop valuable emoticons or backgrounds.
