I expected it, sooner or later.

EA has made mistake after mistake when it comes to marketing Origin, and they still don't know how to "fix it." Offering base versions of popular games is not the solution, but that hasn't prevented them from doing so on multiple occasions. You would think EA would learn from the successes and failures of other publishing companies, but it seems not. What EA really needs is a CEO who knows how to deal effectively with the gaming community.

If offering you a free game changes your attitude about buying and using games on Origin, then I am happy to hear that you are now a satisfied customer. If, on the other hand, you were always happy with Origin (or your feelings about it have not changed), then you are simply trolling. In any case, my point still stands.

I skipped the BTA on that one and got BF3 from a friend.

Didn't go after Sims 3 because of all the trouble some people had with redeeming keys. So I guess in time it'll be free on Origin.

Tbh I expected this, it was free on PS+, then it got bundled..

Guess EA knows BF3 is a lesser BF game and is now trying to attract more people to the other lesser BF game (BF4) by giving away their first failed BF...
