I am thinking about upgrading my PC, and i want to know what is holding me back
specs: ASUS M70AD

Windows 8.1.
I5 4670K 3.1Ghz quad core.
NVIDIA Geforce GT 640 4G VRAM.
8G RAM DDR3.
1TB.
Built in UPS.

no it has a UPS(uninterupable power supply) but i am already upgrading my psu to 800 watts

Buy a GTX 780 Ti Superclocked. Both better and cheaper than a Titan. And well worth the price.

Or you can just get a 750ti.
If you want something stronger than a 750ti you're going to upgrade that power supply. 300w is not enough for stronger cards.
