I was marketing my crates and I listed a key, didn't pay attention to what I was listing. 3 seconds later an email shows I sold a key.

The only way coffee is meant to be drunk is black and without sugar. Cream is for pussies.

Well it's $2.5 on the store. In the market its around $2 right now. You can get it for around $1.3 in trade sites. So you lost a dollar or two. I say forget about it. As they say, no point crying over spilled milk. You learned to be more careful in trades by losing a low amount rather than something more expensive.

I mean, would you have sent it back to the guy? It would have been sure a lot of a hassle and I could possibly see myself doing it if the seller wanted that key so much (because... well... karma) but I kind of don't think many people would send it back to the seller in a situation like this, lol.

Keys don't drop randomly. You can buy them from Mann Co. store and Steam Market, or you can try to trade with someone. You can offer games or items from your inventory. Good places to look are Community Hubs on Steam or Steamtrade.
