What's your opinion about games related to science?
Sokobond looks like fun! I'll keep my eye on it during the next sale ^^

Thank you very much. It's nice that someone actually checked them out. :)

You may find this one enjoyable too: http://store.steampowered.com/app/92800/
I'm not at all a scientist myself, it's more about programming things than knowing chemistry. A really good game in my humble opinion.

Well, I did not :)
In fact, I used the old syntax for links that seems not to work anymore. I edited my message 5 seconds after posting it, but you were faster :)

I know about Spacechem, but I don't really like it. :/ Maybe you'll like this: http://store.steampowered.com/app/375820/ ?

Good pick, thank you ! I never heard of it but I like what I see, I'll keep a close eye on that.
By the way, I didn't know Lucky Luke was famous worldwide :)
Comment has been collapsed.
Whaaattttt? :O Of course he is famous. I grew up with comics, like Lucky Luke, Asterix and Obelix, Tiramolla, etc. ;P And I'm young, not old. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
I don't know Tiramolla, but I read, as a native french guy, many Lucky Luke and Asterix comics... a long time ago, kiddo ! :-)
But, hey, I also grew up with stories from your country ! Greek mythology rules (and leads to fantasy-loving adults ^^)

I'm not a kiddo. xD I said I'm young, not a kid. :B I'm 26. I like mythology too. I was playing a lot of Age of Mythology too. xD Anyway, you must read Tiramolla. I think it's an Italian comic.
Comment has been collapsed.
I was just joking, of course :) 40 here by the way.
Yes, google told me that Tiramolla is italian. Maybe if one book comes to my hand I'll look into it. I'm still a comic reader, but strangely I don't read anymore those I read when I was a kid. Not that I'm feeling too old, but I'm just not appealed... My (current) favorite comic writer: https://www.lambiek.net/artists/l/ledroit_o.htm

I'm reading Girl Genius right now. Highly recommended. :3
Anyways, do you know somewhere I can read Lucky Luke and Asterix and Obelix online? Free if possible?
Comment has been collapsed.
Never heard of Girl Genius before, but it looks nice. :) I searched about it, but only found a few free online comics in Greek. xD Well, we love comics in Greece. xD

Old syntax? The syntax for link has been the same for the 3½ years I've been on this site.
Comment has been collapsed.
I noticed that some links with the [] and () syntax do not display anymore. Maybe it's related to domains that are handled differently, I don't know. Just to test:
Link 1 to SG: http://www.steamgifts.com/about/faq
Link 2 to steam: http://store.steampowered.com/
Link 3 to some random site: http://www.perdu.com
In my previous post, I had to remove the [] and () and just put the link like any other piece of text, so it shows (and it's magically clickable)
Edit: and now the 3 links as pure text with no particular syntax:
http://www.steamgifts.com/about/faq
http://store.steampowered.com
http://www.perdu.com

If you post links without description, they don't show up. But, it's been that way for as long as I can remember. (People have been using this to hide links since the dawn of time) The magically clickable part for plain text links is new to SGv2 though.
This will show nothing: [](http://www.steamgifts.com/)
-->
This will work: [Steamgitfs](http://www.steamgifts.com/)
--> Steamgitfs
So will this: http://www.steamgifts.com/
--> http://www.steamgifts.com/

Link 1 to SG:
Link 2 to steam:
Link 3 to some random site
If there are 3 clickable links before this line, then you are right, it comes from the description part that must be different from the link (or even not a link). I never understood that before, thanks for the tip !

Yes, that's what I meant by "it's more about programming things than knowing chemistry". Sill much fun to me anyway :)

Finally, something to hear when I'll be destroying the world. ^_^

It's a great album to listen to especially when planning on destroying the world, good luck with that!

Let me guess! Someone stole your science book......ehhh, your sweetroll?

I know, but I don't really like this game, to be honest. xD

So science is pretty awesome. What other school topic can espouse such ingenious TV shows the likes of Beakman's World and Bill Nye the Science Guy?
Some other sciency games that broach the topics of physics & biology (I hypothesize that you are a chemist):

I'm a food technologist, so yeah, I'm more into chemistry. :P But these are some good games, especially Luna's Wandering Stars. ;) And these are shows that never appeared in the Greek tv. :( But I've seen tv shows like Brainiac and Mythbusters. xD

I'd also add SimpleRockets and its inspiration, KSP. They're not very science-y, but do a pretty decent job of demonstrating orbital mechanics and showcasing the complexity of space travel.

They look fine too. I already knew Kerbal and I intend to get it at some point (when it's cheaper). :P

Hmm, I'm interested what he will reply to my comment...

I like Reach for the sun. It shows in a really easy way how plants grow / what they need to grow and so on.
I liked concept of Particulars because I like elementry particles stuff, but game gets chaotic at some point, so you can't really easily grasp which quarks or bosons you have to combine to get required particle.

Reach for the sun looks fine, but Particulars looks too hard. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Well, you still passed, so it's ok. xD The more pity, the better grade.

6H2O+6CO2+Sunlight = 602 +C6H12O6
Acid+Base = Water + salt(electrolytes)
I remember some things. Or I'm Confidently wrong.

You're right, don't worry. xD You'll be a scientist soon. :D

Evil Genius is filled with mad scientists. And that's the best kind of science ever.

Robots and programming count? Because Colobot is a very neat and underrated edutainment game.
If you haven't heard, its source code is now open source and there's a remake currently in alpha: http://colobot.info/colobot-gold-edition/ They said they want to bring it to Steam when the project is in more advanced phase.
Comment has been collapsed.
But it looks cool. Ask them to bring it on steam. xD
