I still have a redeem code for the first Gears of War on 360 (it's playable on Xbone), from when I played Ultimate Edition. I don't really know anywhere else to post this, so I figured I'd post it here. Just comment if you want it and it's yours q:

Damn, I shouldn't be surprised :/ I'm sorry about that. I'll check and see if my wife played GOW UE, before January of 2016. If she did, I can give you another code.

Yeah, at first I was thinking nobody would ninja it since it's an Xbox code. But then I remembered that people (ninjas) can be ungrateful assholes D=

I wonder if Microsoft could do a traceback on that key to find who used it and report it as stolen or similar.

I seem to recall something similar happening with some other douche who grabbed a Prey CD-Key off an eBay listing some short time ago.

'twas a nice gesture either way, sorry it ended poorly.

why would you report it as stolen when nobody stole it,it was freely dropped into a forum.

That is just wrong to report a key stolen that was not stolen the person could be charged with that.

That person on Ebay stole that key because they did not have permission to take it,the key was suppose to go with that game.

This person dropped into form post where anyone could get it, thinking nobody would take it and someone did before the person he wanted to have it got it,but it was freely posted in the topic to a public forum and the post clearly stated a free code.A rookie mistake i suppose but who would have thought an xbox code would be used so fast given how long Origin keys could last.

It does suck that someone took it without even saying thanks and it happens a lot because well the world is full of not so gracious idiots who do not even care to say thanks when someone is being generous.

One was freely posted on eBay, the other was freely posted here; they both have value and neither was intended for the party that received it, I don't see the difference. Both were viewable by anyone and both parties that posted them made an error in doing so.

The only reason I think this is different than a keydrop is the post clearly said whoever wants it, comment and they get it. The key was posted as a reply to that person.

Still, I'm not reporting them or anything and hopefully the OP learned something today, I just like to see ingrates like that get what's coming to 'em :)

Actually when you post something on a forum that says free key regardless if the person they wanted did not get it,they posted it on here and advertised it as free.

The ebay key was clearly meant to go with the game and was part of the game so it was stolen just because it was posted by mistakes does not mean it is okay to take or use it.

That is like saying well damn you posted your SS # by mistake so it is fair game because you freely posted it.I also never said you would i was asking why you would when it was not stolen.

Then you use an ebay thread that has nothing to do with this thread as that key was clearly stolen as it was meant to go with that game and was not intended for someone to take it just because it was posted by mistake.

All i was saying was getting the key revoked saying it was some how stolen when the OP clearly posted it in a public forum where anyone can view it and then advertised it as free.
