more than 47k reviews and 98% are positive. i have 157 hours logged into it.. been playing since shortly after it came onto steam. it came out of early access something like a month ago so it's finally complete. the gameplay is so good, and has a really great progression system. if you like roguelikes, then i think this game is a must-buy.

Literally made by "We only make GOTY game" company xD

Okay, so I know I'm probably alone on this and that's okay, but....How is a game not even released yet, and set for December 9 release win GOTY? 22 days is hardly enough time to figure out if it's GOTY material or not. All these votes for this, is purely through video and hype. I feel like the deadline should be September, if you have not released the game before then, then you count towards the next year. Oh well, I am anticipating this game though, just don't feel that even if it is released this year, that it should be considered GOTY material under those stated circumstances.

I barely played anything from 2020 so far, so from played games it would be SUPERHOT MIND CONTROL DELETE, from just watching videos probably Control, but Cyberpunk 2077 also releases this year and it still looks great.
So I'd say Cyberpunk 2077.
DON'T COUNT THIS ONE.

Please, move this comment under the first vote for Cyberpunk 2077 (you can find it some posts above), adding a +1 and delete this one, so it'll be easy to count it after. Thanks!

But but but you didn't play Cyberpunk 2077 yet, how dare you to tell it's the best game of 2020?!

I love the genre, the devs made good great games so far, love the visuals and music. That's more than I can say from most other games from 2020. Whether it's a great game is something I can't say yet but I can also not say it about games I haven't played myself like HL: Alyx or Death Stranding,...

+1, even though Hades or another game will win. Fun, competitive, not hard to learn, and the dev team actually listens to the players, albeit a little slow to implement fixes.

Risk of Rain 2 [if you could vote for two games I'd say Kentucky Route Zero for a tie]

I don't know much of the game because I prefer not to spoil the experience, but it was the one I think would be the proper winner of the 2020 games on my wishlist. Honestly I think Among Us is the true GOTY 2020 though :p

The original comment was a vote for Outer Wilds. So, if you wanna vote for this game, just add a "+1" below the original comment, as always.

i've not seen or heard much of it since the live gameplay demo but definitely one of my most anticipated games

Please, if you wanna vote for Outer Wilds add a "+1" few posts above yours, where another user already mentioned this game, and delete this post so your vote can be counted easily. Thanks!

I'll go with BEAUTIFUL DESOLATION (yes, it should be written in CAPS because the devs are apparently megalomaniacs), probably the most underrated game of 2020. Don't pay any attention to the game's low Steam rating, it's formed by illiterate idiots who thought that it's an RPG - although the description clearly states that it's a classic point-and-click adventure (I'm happy to have backed it, the devs delivered all they'd promised), and apparently one's inability to read is a reason enough to give a game thumbs down these days.
