Steam summer sale trading cards issue

Trade them with people youve been friends with for over a year, its only a 1 day hold.

I really hate the whole new market rules and especially mobile auth app.

what NewGame said, the lock of 7 days on marketpurchases is inherinted when crafting, so given to it's card drop.

ya got me stumped with the whole binary thing. good luck to whoever knows that stuff!

As NewGame already pointed out above that's a trade hold that applies to everything when you buy them off the market. If you use cards that are still under the 7 day hold to craft a badge everything that badge awards also has a 7 day hold. If I'm not mistaken this time the cards will expire at the same time as the sale so unfortunately you're just gonna lose them :(

If you can't find anyone you've been friends with for over a year then the only thing you can really do is turn them into gems before they expire. I had to do this during the Winter sale before I started using the mobile app.

You cannot circumvent the 7-day item lock in any way. I think you cannot even trade them with friends. All you can do is either buy cards from the market to complete full sets or turn the leftover cards into gems before they expire on the 4th.

I have the infamous 15 days hold on trades/sells so I can't even think of selling my dupes.. I'll just turn them into gems T_T

I'd like to point out that I'm too dumb to figure out those letters.

I had that issue with the trade lock before when I used Paypal on my steam account for the first time. Seems like it's common handling when using a "new" payment method (atleast new for your account).

It looks like you got your answers above. I was disappointed when I saw the 7 day hold on cards from crafted badges. At the worst, you can turn them into gems, which is better than nothing.

I know right, I got a foil from crafting yesterday and nothing much I can do about it, except for spending serious dough to craft the foil badge or turn it into gems :-(
