What is this "locking"? Is it a strategy to keep the price lower even after the BTA goes up? How do I go about doing it? Already bought the BTA for $6.85, but just wondering for the future.

Open a tab with a bundle on it, it shows a price that won't change if you buy the bundle from that tab (without refreshing it) - even if you buy it for 1$, as you can raise the money given later. So in short: buying the bundle in a browser tab that shows a lower price from X minutes before will make the BTA stick to *that* price, instead of the up to date, higher price.

Keep various tabs opened and refresh one and keep the one with the lower price open without refreshing. It doesn't matter if it goes up if you have a tab with a price then that's the price you pay

Pay anything. When you buy the bundle you lock the BTA price. Then you just need to add the remaining money to the locked BTA tier. For example. You can pay 1$ today and lock the BTA at 6,50$. Then next week you can just add the 5,50$ and get the BTA games even if the BTA rises to 10$ (or drops to 2$ :)

I never pay fees for paypal purchuses on HB so you might want to check with someone that does. But if you pay any fees for paypal with every purchuse then you should pay 2 fees since you will be paying twice.

Aaaah! In that way! I see now. Yeah, normally it ends exactly when the next bundle will begins. But indeed the countdown stopped 1 hr before this bundle began. Though I've noticed it's different for people in different regions. Sometimes the bundle countdown ends 15 minutes before, other times on time, and other times an hour or so before. Oh well. :p

Doesn't make sense from a customer point of view but at worst it's free promotion for the upcoming game. So i can see why Bandai-Namco wants it as extra tier and Humble probably doesn't mind if it gets them an overall good bundle.

1) You can optionally donate a controlled percentage to charity buying it in this Humble's bundle.
2) There are people who always pay higher than top tier price for charity too mostly, so they can consider this as a lovely bonus.
3) Humble is visited by tons of people on daily basis so they are also promoting their new game this way, even if no one would buy it they'd at least learn about it in case they haven't already.
