pretty obvious...
3,5mm doesn't really support that in any way but cord, since the voltage output is simply too low.
why do you think most advanced headsets are with USB connection ? anyway , USB is your only option because you'll need an adapter which is sending the signal to your headphones, and that my friend, the 3,5mm does not support

You could always buy something like this and then pair it with your Bluetooth headphone of choice.

so you want 5kg headphones, that sound terrible, cost much, got an 3,5mm jack with a small box for wireless, even if 3,5mm jacks cant deliver enough energy. should be no problem to find

He doesnt have a usb in his phone/mp3 player
If he would write what phone/mp3 he has it would be more sense. Maybe that device has a micro usb for which he could get and adapter tp usb.

Wireless, but includes a port for a regular jack? I know of and own a few USB wireless headsets, but I haven't seen many that include a 3.5 jack.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826462001
This item is wireless Bluetooth. It can accept 3.5mm jack instead of wireless, and can be recharged with USB.

I'm using these atm.. The transmitter isn't too big.. Maybe a lil too big for a pocket tho.. d-:

Probably the best part is the sound quality.. Its as good as a wired one.. (-:
