Don't let the booze direct your life, you'll be a lot further from home then. I mean don't make a habit of curing your anxiety with liquor, self medication is not always the best choice and yes I speak out of experience. Hope you feel better soon.

Wouldnt use alcohol if i was you, had a HUGE anxiety attack out of the blue when drinking and I just layed on the floor heavly breathing.
Whenever i have anxiety i just use a cigarette.
Or just deeply breath and listen to some music, both methods damages you health so much, get well soon :)

you don't need a reason to feel horrible, sometimes it just happens, accept it and embrace it, and you can either hope it will pass or try to make it go away yourself. Talking about it and doing something productive is usually something considered helpful in such situations, so you are on the right path so far.

doing this gib can also be considered productive, blow some steam, play some games, do some physical exercises, anything that would make you feel good as long as you don't hurt yourself or others by it....so basically distract yourself from the negative feels

I know the feel, sadly :/ Sometimes music helps. Sometimes dumb/funny stuff distracts. Hope you'll feel better soon :)

Personally I think alcohol should never be used to deal with any issues in life and that it should only be used for "happy times" like celebrations, while hanging out with your buds and the like.
I don't know much about anxiety attacks so I won't act like a smartass on the issue, but have you tried meditating when they happen? Maybe put on some calming music while doing so?

Honestly, it's so easy to say it's all going to get better but if you're the one struggling with the feeling you can be left with the stinging feeling of hopelessness. I'm bad at this. Haha. ---- Hang in there. Don't give up! :)
I was just recently called "useless". I just forgave them and let it go. I still think they're nice people even though we have our disagreements.

Being plagued by depression and seeing my mom suffer from them for as long as I can remember, I can affirm that having a good job, where you can have a feeling of having done something worthwile, something to be proud of (can be something else for everyone) boosts mental health more than any meds could do for me, but don't get a shitty one, they are detrimental for people suffering depression...
And if things get too tuff for me, I get comfy and listen to this wonderfull dude, who has some true words to tell all of us...

Yep, I'm in the middle of some pointless anxiety attack, so I cope with it the best way I know . With some booze and a small gib.
Edit:
Thank you all, half an hour after I made the thread, I already feel better. You people are wonderful.
