Not sure if this will help but all I did was make my own private curator group, rated my games & followed it. No more curator groups show up except my custom one.

I love how companies like to think they're making improvements when really, most changes are obnoxious. Case in point:Gog.com's recent "greyover" and now Steam.

Thanks for posting these helpful tips.

Change is just scary. In reality, most of these changes look better, will eventually be useful, and everyone will get used to them.

How can be good when many "curators" post the same text in every store game page, or Steam recommends games that I already have...? This is just a bunch of convoluted nonsense (>_<)

Seriously, half the curator's are just up-jumped kids who suddenly feel a small bit of power to change the way someone thinks or, far more common, license to muck about. One of the "curator" groups is seriously called Not Postal and all they post (no pun intended) on each game is "Not Postal." They show up regardless of one's settings. Obnoxious and unnecessary.

Seriously this. Why are people becoming more and more against any type of change? This is why new types of games and changes to old ones are failing and we have Mario 90 the same as Mario 3-88 but ignoring the actual ones that added new stuff that "fan boys" went apeshit over. /rant

While not all changes are bad, I can't see how cluttering the screen with sections I won't use (like the curators) which also force me to scroll the page even to see the daily deal a good thing.

I found it far easier to execute the curators on my page for HERESY!

So what OCD and autism in this thread. Wow.... it's just a page you rarely go to. If you spend that much time looking at the front page of steam, you've got your priorities wrong.

Says the person who spent so much time reading all those comments...

Rmoving the need to scroll over two screens of bs to see the daily deal isn't actually OCD in my book. I visit the page at least once a day and spending two minutes to remove the garbage actually makes sense if you think about it. Anyway, I'll go and grab my banana reward for feeding the troll now.

Thank you, that was really the only thing I disliked about the update. Well I also wished that when looking at upcoming games that you could stay on the same page but at least it shows more than the earliest 100 now.

The worst thing is, curators use all kinds of racist and foul language, and these appear on store fronts for games, which kids are viewing, and also, I avoid all social networking, and only post in like 2 forums occasionally (here and Steam) just so I don't have to read the shit that people spew out constantly, but now I see it when I am looking to buy games! Lots of people complaining about it so I can only hope Steam will add the option to hide it.

Nice. Thank you. Now if only I could see all new releases. Showing only "popular new releases" is the most dumb ass fucking thing. I want to see all new games. You have to go into search and browse all games by release date just to see the new releases. Fucking twats.

Or you could click the "All New Releases" under the list (which does the same, but all in one click)
