I think you can't link that here, but I might be wrong

Don't think SG has a rule against linking gray market stores. You are probably mistaking SG with all the other communities that care about developers.

You should read updated guidelines then:

14. Reselling keys and links to reseller stores. Do not use our site to resell keys, and do not post offers from stores which allow third parties to resell their keys or gifts. For example, do not ask others if they are interested in buying your leftover keys from a recent bundle purchase, or link to keys for sale on sites such as Kinguin, G2A, or Eneba.

It's actually a quite interesting conundrum and perfectly illustrates how
incomprehensible SteamGifts rules often are.

Yes, most reseller sites listed on that site are blacklisted here on SG and are not allowed to be linked or promoted BUT as far as I understand allkeyshop itself doesn't sell keys, it just collects information about shady key reseller sites so it should be ok to link it.

If allkeyshop actually does sell keys themselves please ignore what I just said. I've never used the site personally, I try to stick to the official key sellers.

I'm not completely sure even Support can keep track of all that stuff ':D
They probably make it up as they go.

That actually does make sense. And yeah, I think allkeyshop doesn't sell keys directly. Huh, never thought about that specific situation!

Hey,

Linking to reseller websites is not allowed. You need to edit or delete this comment.

Please check my comment above.

As far as I understand allkeyshop should be ok to be linked here since they don't sell keys.

Or do they? I've never used the site.

No, they are not. Linking to a websites that aggregates deals from the reseller stores is a way to circumvent the rules. So it is not allowed as well.

Same as linking to a website that only links to a website that post pirated versions of GTA VI would be against the rules.

If someone wants to inform about in-the-moment lowest price of the game they can link to isthereanydeal, gameshark etc.

I've repeatedly seen analogue situations handled differently for example when it comes to the Calling out rule but I suppose if you say so they should remove it.

Edit:

If someone wants to inform about in-the-moment lowest price of the game they can link to isthereanydeal, gameshark etc.

What about gg.deals? Since they do show information about shady key reseller sites in a seperate category from licenced key sellers but at the same time strongly ask you not to buy there, particularly when it's an Indie game.

No, if so, people are gonna pretend the same, guess you will be suspend until you got the game.
But in this case, it's only a bundled game, so you'll be fine after 5 days as a 1st time warning, seems so.

I mean, I know no one reads the FAQ before they're told to but....

Can I enter a giveaway for a friend?

You should only enter to win giveaways for yourself, and if you win a game, it must be activated and redeemed to the Steam account you used during registration. If a friend is interesting in joining giveaways, they'll need to register for their own account.

If you do intend to eventually get Grim Fandango and activate it on your account so that your profile does not show an unactivated win anymore, maybe you should check the gray market sites. I know, buying from an authorized seller is better but if you don't want to wait for a sale... That game goes for about $2 on the gray market. It should be in last resort though.

Dude, chill. Nobody is obligated to give away anything here and I don't believe you speak for the general community when you consider that mandatory for 'participation'. It's not his fault either if others choose to use filters to enforce their personal beliefs.

Mistakes happen. You'll get a suspension for a few days and that's it, but do be more careful next time (the second time will be a lot less forgiving).

And, yeah, try to get the game on your actual account when you're able to, ok? No need to rush, but it would be the most polite thing to do. (There is also another reason, but I don't think it's anything you need to worry about now.)

That's how I got my first suspension, but it was my alt account and not a friend. Didn't even understand what happened until later and I just bought the game to keep my record clean. So a mistake in the early days really doesn't say anything about the future.

Happened to me once. My Gf logged on her steam account on my computer and i didn`t notice. Got suspended for 15 days.

Just for your information after your suspension is over: if you don't buy the game, there still can and will be some consequences in the future.

  1. If you win something else in the next 30 days, there's a chance that you will be rerolled.
  2. You won't be able to enter almost all of SGTools giveaways with an unactivated win on your account.

So, basically, it would still make sense to do yourself a favor and buy the game, it's really cheap on the gray market (not to mention that Grim Fandango is still one of the best games ever made, so it wouldn't be throwing money away).

Yes, you will be temporarily suspended if you don't have the game in your account, and repeated offenses can lead to permanent ban

It seems useful for catching blacklists as well. People should focus more on higher level witches than random level 0 noobs I say.

This thread is not against the rules, so is not calling out yourself. So nothing warrants automatic thread closure.

Especially that user could be suspended because of the user report, and this thread was never seen. I also sometimes don't have time to check forum for long periods. And only part of the website I see is moderator section >:D

I don't think that anything good can be achieved by keeping this thread alive, especially that you can't reply right now.

You can ask for this thread to be opened, if you wish so later.
