Hello everyone, I have a question to ask you a little while ago I added a guy who wanted to give me Darksiders 2 or dead island for starvoid, since he had more rep than me (only now i see That his rep is fake on her steam profile) I gave him the first game, and he has since given a code that was not valid for my country, probably the key is Russian or otherwise, also told me to use a vpn, although it is against the rules. Where can I write to reportare or groped at least to reportare this user to steam?

Try steam ticket or forum but don't get your hopes up. Maybe look into steamrep.com site and hit the report a scammer. At the end of the day nobody forced you to trade with them so it's your lesson to learn.

Unfortunately for you, it was your responsibility to find out if the key you were trading for was region locked beforehand. It doesn't make them any less of a jerk for not telling you though.

I read somewhere in Steam forum that you could actually ask Steam support to trade in a region locked game with the region free version of it. Don't know if that's true though. Even if it were true, it probably wouldn't apply for keys I think. With that being said, you should be careful next time you want to trade. Make sure you'll be able to activate and play the game you're about to receive. Of course, if they lie to you, you could just file a report.

Well, in that case, he did scam you then. Either one, find a Russian who's interested in the game. Or two, just report him.

I read that if you paint your nose red, look in the mirror and say "Rudolph" three times, Santa will appear and grant you any present you want.

Darksiders 2 or dead island for starvoid

When they're offering decent games for a $1 game, that's a big red flag.

Since you traded keys, Steam support doesn't really care. Go to www.steamrep.com and make a report, although if it's the scammer I'm thinking of, he's been posted here multiple times and already marked.

Doesn't sound like scamming to me. Sounds more like you not asking what kind of key it is.

I can almost hear the sound of people placing you on their blocked users list.

You could blame the scammer for not checking that his offers were actually valid and useful, being deceptive isn't anything to be proud about.

I don't know if he was deceptive. There isn't enough info provided to come to that conclusion. If all the 'scammer' said was that it's a key for a game, he wasn't being deceptive, Felix himself assumed that the key isn't region blocked. Don't start calling people scammers just because someone made a mistake when trading them.

If you aren't clear with what you are offering, you are being deceptive.

I don't really care to debate with someone who supports scamming.

If you want though, I'll give you 1,000,000 cents for $1,000 USD. If you divide 1,000,000 by 100 it'd be 10,000. Sounds like an easy $9,000 to me!

I don't support scamming, there is just so little information. Felix made a mistake and doesn't want to be responsible for it, so he blames the other guy. That's understandable but he shouldn't be doing that and you shouldn't be supporting him. Even if the other guy had responsibility to this, it would be silly to say that Felix didn't.

Edit: cents? You have to be way more specific for me to even consider that offer.

When I am offered a game I take for granted it's not region locked. If it is is the other side's duty to specify it.

At very least you're equally as responsible to ask and find out for your self.

No it's not, as the other side is offering a limited product. It's the same case as if it was a beta access, the other person has to specify it.

Yep. I've traded a few games with some people. They usually ask me where I live, and let me know in advance the restrictions of the game I'm about to receive (if any).

Wow really? For Starvoid? The game that cluttered the fuck out of this site due to it being handed out like candy? Do you honestly think people are that stupid?
