TV Show Recommendations

The greatest TV series of all time for me is The Shield, second place would probably go to The Sopranos.

Breaking Bad is a masterpiece, but I'm sure you've seen it.

For current shows, Ozark is pretty addictive, and I heard Waco is good. Season 1 of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency was great, haven't seen Season 2 though.

Terriers is a definite hidden gem, there's only 1 season but I've watched it 3 times.

Fargo, but season one was the really something else!

What We Do in the Shadows

Doctor Who (modern era, 2005-present) is my favorite show of all time, I'll recommend most of it (series 1-10). Series 11 and 12, on the other hand, seem to be quite divisive amongst the fanbase

I found the series Violet Evergarden to be rather good for most viewers. It is about a woman who slowly begins to understand her own emotions by helping others send letters to their loved ones.

Time Slip Dr Jin. It's a korean medical drama about a doctor that gets forcibly time traveled back in time and has to make use of modern knowledge with 500~1400 AD tech to develop treatments for dangerous diseases. This also has the equivalent of gallons of blood in certain episodes, actual brain surgery, and the plague. It's a good show.

I really liked Haunting of Hill House . Some great scary scenes and overall great storywriting.
I dont think I noticed anyone mentioning American Horror Story . I have watched only first two seasons but I really did enjoy them.
One of my all time favorites is Burn Notice
Vikings are great of course.

Office of course, but thats probably already mentioned here. Out of cartoon series - Futurama is probably the best one, Spongebob is ridiculously entertaining, Simpsons up to some 20..21 season, Family guy (excluding newest seasons)..

The Wire. Still one of the best ever.

The Leftovers is probably the one that got the biggest emotional response from me. It was amazing.
Rectify is a brilliant hidden gem "low-fi" drama.
On the older side, I really liked Oz.
While American Horror Story clearly goes downhill with each new season and isn't very fun if you're expecting actual horror and not just your usual TV drama with horror-ish themes, both American Crime Story seasons were pretty great if you ask me.
Dark is a great show (although I really thought the 2nd season ending was a bit cringy jump over the shark)
Thoroughly enjoyed Mindhunter, but many people I know find it boring and bad for some reason.
Really liked Terror S1, didn't watch s2 yet.
The Boys is probably the most enjoyable ongoing series I'm following at this moment.
If we're talking animation, I really liked Moral Orel, but it gets dark pretty quick, so be mindful of it.

Fleabag is the lattest little gem that I found. Dark, very very funny, sad in moments, and incredibly intelligent.

Two short seasons.

I've watched season 1-6 before but that was years ago when they came out. Season 7 came out this year. So..... Started watching from the start on May 4th. :)

Finished watching the last ep yesterday.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars

I see Doctor Who mentioned above. Love it. ALL OF IT.

Many years ago..... I hunted down every ep there was going back to the very start. Even the lost eps that only have story board pics because the orig footage was lost in a fire. Watched them all. Enjoyed them all. I watched 1 a day for a long long time. (years). lol.

All the way from the orig Black & White to the newest eps. :)

The Expanse. Season 1 through 3 are nothing but stellar, season 4 is pretty slow. I hope future season 5 picks up.
Future Man. Season 1 had some raunchy scenes in it. If you can get past that, and, then get past slow seaons 2, season 3 is really really good.
