Now, which one of the Ace Attorney are you referring to? The last one?

I've seen it a couple of times, and applied for it, but wasn't lucky. 😅

Excuse me for my interruption, but IMHO the whole Ace Attorney series would be a nice addition to the roster of giveaways as it is a very entertaining series, yet even the original trilogy is rarely ever given away here.
I've played them up till the second Edgeworth game on emulator, back when the series had no PC port. I have fond memories of its unique charm, characters and especially the music. I wish more people would have the chance to also experience these great games!

As for Danganronpa, I agree, I don't think I've seen it much either.

Agreed. Although there is a reason for it, at least with Danganronpa games. Since they aren't in (or not many) key stores outside of Steam, they are a bit harder to giveaway without having to deal with region restriction issues if you gift directly through Steam.

Games from Rockstar Games (Grand Theft Auto, Max Payne, Bully, The Club, L.A Noire) and Valve (Half-Life, Portal, Counter-Strike, Left 4 Dead)

I would also really like to play it, tried the demo on Switch and really liked it! In truth, I don't like playing with sticks, so I was very happy when the game came out on Steam, here you can play with a keyboard and a mouse! It is much more convenient 😄
But this game is too expensive for me, I hardly ever buy it. Square Enix don't make big discounts on their games =)

NB. I thought Echoes of the Eye is a free update (as opposed to paid DLC which it - rightfully - is) and spent like an hour trying to figure out how to get to the DLC content before I found out (the museum exhibit, radio tower and satellite show up in the base game too now, so I thought it's just a really hard puzzle).

Update after trying ESGST: I wish I knew about this tool long time ago. I've tweaked it a bit to serve my purpose. Now I can finally stop scrolling mindlessly through 1P-9P games that I don't want to put my focus on games of higher value. Thank you! This will be a life savior and effective tool to use from now on. 🙏🏻

I personally thought the same, but because of that, it had a pleasant outcome for me. If you're not into survival, you may not like the genre anyway and it won't stick with you. I'd suggest trying maybe a demo or a family member who can borrow you the game. That always works to test out games you wanna play.

More visual novels, like Persona 4 Golden or Steins Gate

i have seen some, but they are quite rare. it might be because both games are from old bundles, hahah.

i heard about it from friend, and now waiting for discounts)

CrossCode. It's a very good game, but apart from the time it was accidentally put in a bundle (back when it was still in Early Access), there have been hardly any giveaways for it. That was 5 years ago...
(It's probably because the game goes on sale very rarely and it's very hard to find Steam keys for it... Or at least that's what's blocking me from making more giveaways for it. T.T )

Didn't play the newer ones, but I'd love to know how different are they in comparison to the old Serious Sam's? I've only played Serious Sam 1 I believe, at internet cafes back when they were a thing. It was a lot of fun back then. 😄

Stardew Valley is currently £10. I honestly expected it a bit more expensive. But I guess I was wrong.
RimWorld is a lot more expensive and I can understand you're waiting for a sale. 😊
Comment has been collapsed.
Both are fantastic games. I believe Stardew has dropped close to the 50% marker on a few occasions. Rimworld is very unlikely to see that kind of a discount for many more years though. Having owned and played both, definitely worth full price if you can afford it. You'll get your money's worth 100%.

Sub Rosa.
I think I've seen 1 giveaway so far. It's a great concept but not for everyone since It's an online MP with a simple premise.

The game was born in the "A game in 7 days" event. When the demo was kinda new there was a considerable amount of players, despite the server limitations. I can say that the trolls and toxic people gave this game a huge boost because you need that kind of thing in this type of game. I wouldn't be surprised if many of them play the new one. It's a necessary evil ;)
Also, Alex Austin the developer has been sometimes critized for being back and forth with his projects.

For me, it's dark souls remastered. I think I joined two dark souls giveaways in the last 4 months. Though I don't know if this was given more on higher level.
I was so hoping that there would be a normal discount for every user starting from October 1 because of discount termination program for people who owned dark souls prepare to die edition.

An interesting question! :)
The ones I am super-excited for right now are Valheim, Baldur's Gate 3, and New World.
Comment has been collapsed.
I've got all of them, but I really only played Valheim, way too little that I'm ashamed to say. I do think it's an excellent game. Baldur's Gate 3 is a game I'm waiting to get through a final stage or exit the Early Access part so I'll consider playing it. I purchased it to support the developers. I hope to see it finished soon.
New World... oh man... I wish I could play it. The amount of time you waste waiting in queues is incredible, and as you might have heard, a lot of people complain about that fact. Other than that, I believe it's a nice addition to those who love MMO's like myself.
Comment has been collapsed.
I wholeheartedly agree! It's good to wait for the final stage, so you can enjoy the game to its fullest, in all its glory! :)
Valheim does seem amazing, and I love survival games I can play solo xD
As for New World, I liked what I've seen so far on streams and whatnot. As for the queues - yes, horrible, but it ain't gonna be like that forever :D I hope... xD

Sometimes I am willing to wait for games to clear our DLC's as well, because normally when a DLC comes out, I don't revisit the game to play it. I'm for instance looking at finishing now Assassin's Creed Odyssey and I'm taking my time as Assassin's Creed Valhalla pushes out all the DLC's out.
By the time the new one comes out, I'll be able to jump on Valhalla and finish it with DLC and alls.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh yeah, same way here xD I don't even start a game unless I have all the DLCs. Very few exceptions...
Comment has been collapsed.
I doubt that New World will be like that in the near future, it's Amazon, after all, if they want a good player base that is dedicated to this, they could fix that. I'm a firm believer that with the right investment, dedication, and work, New World could climb alongside World of Warcraft, Black Desert, and Elder Scrolls Online.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's my train of thought too! :) They can't allow themselves to do this. I said the same when I told someone I preordered Diablo 2 Resurrected - "Man, it's Blizzard, they'll fix the bugs and whatever might hinder gamers' experience."
Comment has been collapsed.
We need to allow companies to show they can be trusted. It will not always be easy, but without us kindly guiding them and showing respect for their work, we will not get a well-developed game.
I feel oftentimes that a lot of the gamers feel privileged. If a game is buggy, it's because there's a lot at play than a few codes. Things will break and things will sometimes not function the same as they used to do. Games are way more complex and despite the tools that we have today, people make mistakes.
The ambition is there and we can clearly see that despite the limited gameplay some games have, visually games are so well thought it's almost close to an art.
If we delivered our concerns in a more respectable manner, I think a lot more would be done. But maybe that's just me, I find it disrespectful that after all your hard work, someone who bought your game for 50% starts ranting that there are bugs in it and calls you out for being incompetent.
Comment has been collapsed.
Oh, indeed! Some people feel entitled to a sickening level these days, and it is the same with books! Some people are whining about an author not giving THEM a new book, or they even become outright aggressive!
Just look at George R.R. Martin's page on Twitter and you'll see what I am talking about. People calling him out, saying that he isn't going to live long enough to finish the series, that they've been reading the series since the beginning, and so on. Outrageous sense of entitlement, and yet a fantasy novel takes between 3-5 years to be written.
So many people cannot see beyond their reflection in the mirror.

Mine. But I have no motivation to get it done anymore.
And I'm always up to indie gems, like:
Disc Room
Snakebird
Lacuna
Fights in Tight Spaces
Welcome to Elk
Voidigo
Chicory

Edit:
A nice not Hidden Gem = Sakuna of Rice and Ruin. Pretty kawaii farming simulator mixed with platformer game.

SnowRunner has £10/DLC is pricy, you're right about that. According to my records, it hasn't been lower than 15% discount.
Ghost Recon is a classic, you're right about that. It's on discount now, but it's still falling under the £25 range. 1,094 playing now and 1,240 today's peak.
Sakuna surprises me, because I've made once a recommendation for those who love farming games on my YT. There isn't a large number of people playing this game, but still are people out there.
Comment has been collapsed.
I love the fact that both of you agree with me :)
You've been warned:
Sakuna is a Singleplayer only, as my own community consideration, SP only game with that price is not worthy. So, its better wait till the sale goes really as low as 90% discount.
SnowRunner Devs team are also kinda making an abuse here --this game was once EpicGames Exclusive release. Sold full-priced since March 2020. When it reaches Steam a year after or at March 2021 again, the publisher and dev team agree to sell SnowRunner with a full-price but, much costly than in Epic. So, for SR fans, youve been warned (by me atleast). Next, the Multiplayer feature still unstable WITH THAT PRICE, like WOW, cripple game. Cross-platform multiplay still in progress also, meanwhile its full-price already LOL.
Wildlands? yes Wildlands. The lobby sucks, only a few player (as my friend who owned says). Most of them are new player anyway. Worth the singleplayer only. Hmm, you know, Ubisoft.
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, but is the Wildlands SP campaign that good that it's worth that much? That's the question. A lot of games like this, Call of Duty, for example, I wanna play just the campaign, but I'd not pay £20-30 for just that. I find it too much for 5-15 hours of SP campaign.
I'm a firm believer we should support the developers, because they need to eat too. But I can't place a value over a franchise that puts little effort into something and expects a higher price.

Looks really nice, but did they have to mix it with platformer? Probably can't do with my slightly crippled (Cubital Tunnel Syndrome) left hand :(.

Me too. Cant decide my friend.
But, you can try another XSEED farming sim game like SOS: Friends of Mineral Town, Pioneer of Olive Town, or even Animal Crossing...
Edit: i have no issue playing 'em. Why? imma controller user. Love using controller especially, PlayStation controller [for a Nimble game].

Wow, good to hear that, you both gamers. Any of my comment influence your choice?
Anyway, I recommend Sakuna because its soooo kawaii and the player can lift the dog in-game in soooo cute way...

I've actually bought an X-Box controller for PC, because I should train my left hand as much as possible, but unfortunately it doesn't work for me at all. I try playing with it every few months, but no success so far... not sure if because of my habits or my hand.

Have you ever heard 'One-handed controller' or 'left-handed controller' or 'left-handed joystick'?
Those might fit you... Hope it helps... I recommend the one-handed one cause its simple and cheaper also can combined with Mouse...

Nah mate...
The 1 handed controller that i referring is 'Gypard One-Handed Controller ' like in VR remote.
But, what is on your picture should work also. The Gypard that I refer means for someone who refuse using their right hand. One of this kind have Mouse/USB plug access.
This is what I really meant: Switched between arrow and Action button --> https://www.amazon.co.uk/Playstation-Left-Handed-Controller-PS2/dp/B001IKYRUK

I've got a PS4 and a Switch and even if I play on the PS4 every so often, I am most comfortable on the PC. It is normal. I think if you would play for about 3-6 months straight on the controller, you'd lose your impairment with the controller. You're playing irregularly on it and that may feel weird.
Recently I've just finished Ghost of Tsushima and I've spent the most time with a controller in hand. After over 200 hours of gameplay, I can say that I felt more comfortable with a controller in hand than before I started.

RimWorld
Factorio
and grand strategy games published by Slitherine/Matrix, like Gary Grigsby's War in the East (just 2 GAs in Archive search, not bundled and with 70% top discount ever according to Augmented Steam, so tough luck, I guess).
Comment has been collapsed.
Gary Grigsby's War in the East is £60 for a game from 2010. That's a lot I must say.
Comment has been collapsed.
They have quite a specific pricing policy. Only a few of their games are ever bundled (as a promotion of the genre and publisher, I guess, and those usually multiple times), and the base price of their games is never cut, and for their flagship games quite high.
On the other hand, those games take a lot of effort in historical research and AI programming, they are supported and patched often for 10+ years, and this is kind of the games, that don't age in 5 or even 10 years... they actually usually do just when the next version is published (and I've just found, that this year they have released Gary Grigsby's War in the East 2 - not yet on Steam).
For fans of the genre they are the cream of the crop (not all published by them, but the flagships like EDtBtR, WitE, WitP and WitW) and some of them are the real classics (War in the East being a 3rd, and now 4th with WitE2, iteration of published by SSI in 1984 War in Russia), but the player base for those hardcore TBS games is quite small.
The nice thing is, that once a year they offer folks registered with them an Anniversary coupon of up to 50% (this year, with my 15th anniversary, it will be 47% for me) valid for 1 order, which can be used for multiple games and which stacks with their seasonal sales, Christmas being usually the best. And if those games are on Steam, we do get a choice to claim a Steam key - that's how I do buy all of them, except those, that are bundled. If they didn't release WitE2, I would probably buy WitP this year, if it got a nice discount during Christmas.

I can understand now why it's so pricy, it's like a long-term investment. Instead of having DLC's you have a full price that covers all of the updates.
Comment has been collapsed.
Especially not for those of us who are such fans that truly want to play the full game.
If I ever saw the game or better yet, GOTY package with all the DLC, i'd happily beg and borrow money to buy it.
$75 seems a bit much.
$40 seems more fare.
Comment has been collapsed.
$75 for a AAA game seems okay nowadays, but Rimworld is an Indie game as far as I've seen. Best bet is to wait for next Black Friday. or sale. Digital Tabletop Fest 2021 on 21 October 2021, Halloween Sale 2021
28 October — 1 November, Autumn Sale 2021 24 November — 30 November, and probably the biggest one it will be Winter Sale 2021
22 December — 5 January 2022. Just be patient and I think the sale is going to happen.
