As said, my motherboard died last Tuesday. Yesterday I bought a new MotherBoard and no matter what I do my GPU just doesn't want to display anything on the monitor. I keep getting the "No video" error.
The motherboard starts up nicely but after the short beep (which tells me that everything went well) the VGA_LED starts up and keeps a solid light. I tried updating my BIOS using BIOS Flashback, but not even that seemed to fix the issue. I'm all out of the ideas and I really can't afford a new graphic card. Not for at least a month or two more.
I don't know what to do anymore :( Anyone got any ideas?

My GPU: Radeon HD 6900 series,
MB: Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0
CPU: FX-6300
Bios version: 2501 (latest one).

Any suggestions are nice!

Okay problem solved. My GPU's dead... Gotta get a new one.

Maybe your GPU was damaged by whatever killed your MB? the new board should be compatible with your GPU.

but the GPU's fan is spinning nicely. I don't know what's the issue, and worst thing is that I can't test it out anywhere.

gpu fan spinning doesn't mean anything necessarily.

I would say hook up your on board graphics to your monitor and check that the gpu is showing activity in the bios, but your mobo doesn't have a on board gpu :( best of luck with whatever you do man...

GPU may have been damaged by what killed the mobo.
One thing to try if its possible is to use another output on the video card.
I had a very old Nvidia card partially fry its dvi but the vga worked fine for
another 2 months until I could get a new card.
Another thing to try is to borrow a friends video card and see if that works if it dont
RMA that mobo ASAP.

I'll probably return the MB tomorrow. The GPU should be working just fine.
Also what I forgot to say in previous post - the MB lets me know that VGA is not connected if I "forget" to put power in it.

I'm not an expert on these things but you could borrow from a friend his gpu just to test if it works on your MB or lend your gpu to your friend to do the same thing.

I just moved into this country few months ago, and I still have no friends who have any PC connections. Or any friends that I'd trust at all. Or anyone who I'd actually call a friend.
