Will this monthly bundle be yours?
Still an amazing deal and is unbundled so when given away is 60 dollars CV for those penny pinchers. Plus every monthly has a few good games revealed. If you dont like giving things away, its likely worth holding to trade. If not interested in giving/trading and you already have, maybe you have a friend in real life who would like it.

Might be worth mentioning that right now it seems like there's a problem with the X-Com 2 key for quite a few people: https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/ppxfM/xcom-2-humble-early-unlock-issues (Seems like it's EU related)

Interesting. I don't like the new XCOM, but I am in a minority; I am too used to the complexity of the original two and felt incredibly restricted every time I tried to play the remake.
Still, it was and still is a pretty popular game even right now, and I can understand the appeal.
On the other hand, now we see the sequel in a bundle one year after release, and I remember that the few streams I knew that played XCOM tried this one, maybe played through once, and went back to the first game later. Apparently, it is not incredibly popular among the new fans.
Or maybe I just saw wrong. But this early bundling, when the game is still near the standard launch AAA price range, is a bit suspicious. (Not Battleborn levels of suspicious though.)

Almost. They are about to release the Long War 2 mod for XCOM 2. The original was the mod that at least made an attempt to bring back a few of the challenges and difficulty of the old games to the remake (which, by default, was what I call "console gamer easy"). It became so popular among players that even the product owners had to acknowledge its existence and now are officially advertising the upcoming version themselves.
(A side note, but last time I checked, it was next to impossible to find an XCOM live stream that was not on Long War. I'd make a Bethesda reference/joke here, but I guess it would be too obvious. :))

That cannot be the only reason. The historical lowest is 20 dollars, and a very popular mod is coming to the game; if anything, it should sell on its own when Long War 2 hits. And premium bundle or no, the game's grey market price will now tank considerably, which always means less "normal" sales.
Honestly, unless there is something really wrong with XCOM 2 (the fact that the highest-rated reviews are negative ones are a tad concerning), this reveal benefits Humble considerably more than the publisher, even with the stupid region locks.

Just look at what 2k only has to offer at the moment ... nothing... Sports games which hardly noone plays outside the USA
Evolve, Battleborn fail.... mafia 3 fail on all platforms and form Civ VI they have certainly expected more
(mafia3 asus promo, civ 6 amd promo)
I think in the near future will be more 2k bundles and big sales also it has become common in the last 2 years to sell off cheap
everything pretty quickly

2K was founded on January 25th, they bundle XCOM 2 as a birthday present for us.

Never played the originals sadly but xcom 2 is vast improvement over the remake . You name it - it has more, better, deeper and so on.
That said i liked remake more. It felt more serious somehow. 2nd installment with all the customizations and tech feels a bit silly for me. People are making pink robot clowns in that game..maybe thats why.

I like Alien Hunters (or whatever it's called) better to be honest. The new class is nothing to special and by the time I got it I already had a bunch of amazing people. But the Alien Hunters one adds a nice challenge to the game. I also love those unique new weapons (not sure which DLC gave them).

Shen's Last Gift gives you badass combat robots, which are kinda cool. Alien Hunters adds significant difficulty and the potential for a few new unique items (which are kinda neat, if a pain to keep switching around between soldiers). But the rest are just questionable cosmetic items.

Do you need to play the first one before you play XCOM 2?

Really? That game was so easy that they had to add a new mode to actually pose some challenge; not even mentioning the fan-made Long War mod that went way beyond that. I guess people nowadays are way used to games holding their hands too much and never letting them fail.

Fairly certain there was interview somewhere stating that's why Devs decided to make 2nd game based around the fact we lost. Even if you look at achivement on steam that you get for beating the game, only 27% have it! I didn't find game too easy but it wasn't combat that held me back, it was satelites, research and base building. Although I have beat the game on normal difficulty with ironman, and got far on veteran later.

Interesting. The things you mention were my primary reason to give up on the XCOM remake. (Not totally yet, but close to there.) Base management was incredibly simplified compared to the original, down to the level where I can almost say it was not simplified but dumbed down. Not as much as soldier loadout management, which is practically non-existent in the remakes, but quite much anyway. I mean… it starts by you having only one base. In the original, you could juggle 8 entire bases, all with their own separate staff.

With the starter being so good.
I kinda wonder if the other games are going to be hot garbage. lol
Also wondering if they are going to announce an expansion soon, since XCOM 1 had a big expansion.
Although Xcom2 does have DLCs already, so idk.

for me there was only one bundle that was absolute trash and it was the COD bundle, when you giveaway a trash game as a main game the rest will be the same. as for XCOM2 the game is very cool so i'm pretty sure they will find cool game that wont be to big to purchase, maybe Furi or hyper light drifter XD

and how exactly was your experience lessened retroactively because of this?
don't be. you're one of the people who make games like this possible. if we only had people who buy those games in bundles or on a big discount, we wouldn't have those games anymore. i never regret paying full price for a good game, even if it gets a big discount later.

On the steam winter sale for the deluxe edition it was like approximate 33 USD$ for the deluxe edition and probably it was 30 or a little under 30 for base game.
I managed to get X2 deluxe this past summer sale when it was like 36 for delux and base was only 31-2 and I figured for 4-5 bucks more might as well buy the deluxe.
