Sorry I just joined steamgifts.com today and I'm very excited to get going with it.
BUT, I just wanted to know if I was required to do giveaways to get more (P) as in points to enter giveaways.
Is there any other way I can get more (P)?

If someone creates a giveaway, every SG user gets 5% of the price as points. So if I gave away a 10$ game, everyone would get 2 points

Every time a public giveaway is made, everyone on the site except the creator gets 1/20th the dollar value in points, correct to at least one tenth of a point.

Points are just a way to make it so that you can only enter 1 out of every 20 giveaways, so that people won't just enter every giveaway they see, they'll only enter for the ones they truly want.

You can have 300 points at most.

In theory, there's no limit to the amount of points you can gain (as long as people keep creating giveaways and as long as you spend your points), but you can have a maximum of 300 at any point in time.
