You have a good point, some people just like to abuse the blacklist system for the silliest reasons.
Personally, I don't like adding people to my blacklist, I do so only in extreme cases.
Inside my blacklist I have:
- rule breakers;
- jerks;
- those who blacklisted me for no reason.
And by "jerk", I mean people who are continually and deliberately offensive towards others, and think they're above the rules.
If I have something to brag about my blacklist, is that it's really small, only 11 entries right now.
My whitelist, on the other hand, is quite big, with almost 300 entries.

I couldn't care less about idiots blacklisting me just because they disagree on my opinion I posted somewhere on the forums. I mean.. yeah.. blacklisting me will surely show me. kek.
I do not use that function at all since I consider it to be kinda infantile.

200 BLs here, and it don't stop me from winning at all ;p Crying over being blacklisted is overrqated same as BLing. People give these a lot more concern that it deserves. If I BL someone it's not because I get the feeling of great power or some other bullshit - it means I simly don't want to spend my money on this person for whatever reason. And if I'm BLed I treat it the same way. It's contributor's money it's his choice to decide who he want to share GA for game he bought with it with.

I'm on 2. One for winning a giveaway back when I used to still enter them and one for stating an opinion in the last day or so. I thought the first one was silly, but I understand that some people do it for their own reasons. The second one, though, makes me laugh. I don't enter giveaways here, I come to keep up with bundles and sales, plus the odd bit of Steam or general gaming news. I couldn't care less about not being able to enter some giveaway I have no intention of trying to enter in the first place. It just means that my opinion on something got under someone's skin so badly that they felt the need to lash out the only way they could. And that makes me awesome, in keeping with the topic title.

i have never seen anyone on here who brags about how many people they have blacklisted.
but i have seen a lot of people bragging on how many blacklists they are on, and a huge amount of threads like yours complaining about blacklisting.

I only black list people who blacklist me, or people I see openly blacklisting people on the forum for unfair or... well simply no reason at all.
If you've been here a year without getting any BLs, you had to have like, never talked on the forum XD You can check how many times you've been blacklisted in your stats. I'm sure today you'll get many more, people love to blacklist people for having a different opinion than them. Trying to censor people is just awesome times. Makes the community better by keeping people from talking about anything too interesting.

No one cares if you blacklist them. You can keep your $.25 bundle games and continue to inflate your own sense of non-existent self worth.
And for the record, no, I've never been blacklisted before to my knowledge. But I was just browsing the discussions and noticed so many sweaty nerds thinking they're so amazing because they blacklist random users.
So here's some free advise: Adding people to your blacklist doesn't make you any less of a loser.
Edit: And to those of you who commented to tell me you added me to your blacklist: Do you actually think I care in the slightest? But I would like to thank you for proving my point perfectly :)
