How to GA and not be regarded as re-gifter? (GA added)

As long as you have the game you're giving away and also won here activated on your Steam profile, you'll be fine.

If you already own those games it means that you activated them, so you shouldn't worry for being called a regifter.

regifter is a term where you create giveaway for the copy of the game you won on another giveaway. Buying Giving away another copy of won game which you have already activated in your steam library is fine.

If you''ll have wins activated in library everything will be fine, site-rules side.

If someone is blacklisting-crazy, he won't check your descriptions anyway and blacklist you anyway, without confirming you actually activated your wins.

i was hoping for clickbait thread. i was half happy. it is not clickbait, but a good question :)

anyway, you can give anything you want. just as long as the games you won are in your library. a lot of users give away games they already own. if someone calls you a regifter just cause you won the same game without checking your steam account, lets hope he doesn't win, and he will but support.

you can say that is another copy and you know that regifting is not allowed. it should deter most "haters"

I have the same issue with the game overture! I won it on SG, but BundleStars came out with a bundle that included the same game, so now I have spare copies to give away.
But as others have said, as long as you activate your won key before creating GAs for that game that you now have extra copies for, you wouldn't be regarded as a re-gifter.

you are ok. regifting means: winning a game > not activating it on your account > creating a giveaway for it

on the other hand, it's sad to know at least 5 people in sg don't know what regifting means

I'm a bit late with my answer, but you don't have to worry about it:)
A lot of people give games from bundles and it's bound to happen that you won 1 or more of those games previously. Especially if you get a lot bundles. So really like the others have said, as long as they are activated on your account you're OK. I'm not entering the GA, because I already have the game, but thanks anyway:)
And how dare anyone to blocked SG, you're right, that's unthinkable;)

If I ever give away a game that I've won in the past, I'm just going to link to the game on my profile in the giveaway description. I feel like it's better to be up front and make it clear that yes, I won this game in the past and yes, it got activated. That way there's no chance of anyone seeing only half the story and getting the wrong idea.
