Yes please, Vice city is by far better than SA.

I agree. It was hard to honestly feel attached to CJ when he is a coward that runs away from his problems. Tommy Versetti was all types of likable badass. Tommy made mistakes that were human and believable. CJ, not so much. The most human feeling out of CJ was when his friends betrayed him and how he felt about it. This is my opinion anyways. Gameplay hands down was superior to San Adreas, but I never understood why they removed some things from Vice City.

But it's most likely that both games are similar in some regards and both will keep you playing for many hours.

I don't compare, I'm not the first who mentioned Watch Dogs in this thread. The relevance of mentioning Watch Dogs is in the fact that both are expected and people cannot wait for them... I stated my preference because it often comes back on forums ("game A will kick game B's butts") but I agree with the fact that they're entirely different recipes and experiences.

edit : so my point is, comparing can be appropriate if it's about how badly you want to play that or this game. But I'm also kind of tired of these fanboyism battles so I guess you were right to state that they should not be put in competition. But it's unavoidable, at some point they'll have to be compared and measured, and people will take into account the overall pleasure they had playing one or the other, how long it kept them busy, etc...

Also, there are open world elements, driving and shooting. At some extent there are resemblances between them, so it's somehow relevant to want to compare them. Same core, different qualities and flaws, different aims.

You can say that to the CoD and Battlefield war too
