No, I'm kidding :d
Bear is more of a legend than a mod ◕ ‿ ◕

I was wondering about that for a bit. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, we can hint at it but we can't point to it. I've seen people suspended for calling out by providing a screenshot of the SGtools page.
Comment has been collapsed.
So had I simply posted the link http://www.sgtools.info/activation, would that be considered just a hint?
Comment has been collapsed.
Hmm I think we have to be more subtle than that. Vague references like saying "SGtools check" so far haven't met any trouble.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ummm having a hard time understanding this, but I'll try not to say anything at all next time.

Of course...
If I said "revilheart is a scammer", I'd be calling you out right ? Now if instead of saying it directly, I wrote "revilheart is a scammer" on a pastebin and posted the link here, would you say I'm not calling you out then ?

I'm not sure if they're planning to introduce regional mods. However, you can pool together with others users and start your own thread with an easy to search title for any portuguese user that may want to ask a question or just form a community with. I know some people have translated the FAQs or just general details about how NOT to break the rules of Non-activations or Multiwins into their languages but that would be the easiest way to start helping new users I guess.

If I can learn English, other Brazilians can too. It's time to stop being lazy and learn the universal language!
Comment has been collapsed.
One universal question though: Why every country must learn to speak English? Why is it considered necessary nowadays? :/

But we're not in a mandarin or spanish website. The site is natively in English so I think grasp of the english language is essential in using it.
Comment has been collapsed.
If you compare by number of speakers Spanish is more common. (despite the differentiation between South America and Spain, just like Pt). There is mandarim too.
I guess it is because US strength in the international market.

English is a more beautiful and easy language than Spanish in my opinion.
Comment has been collapsed.
You didn't really answer my question. We are forced to learn it just because it's common? :P
Comment has been collapsed.
But I'm saying that every job needs an English certificate, not just for international business. Maybe it's different in other countries, but in Greece, we need an English certificate and ECDL for every damn job. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Exactly. Only Sewaz actually answered my question. Because AMERICA! We're forced to learn to speak English because Americans want it. Every damn job wants me to have an English certificate (and I have one), but I'll never really need to use it. xD
Comment has been collapsed.
Well if you want to communicate with people from other countries, you can either learn each of their language or learn only English, which most people know.
Comment has been collapsed.
That's all? That's why we are FORCED to learn English? That's why we need an English certificate for every damn job? xD
Comment has been collapsed.
YES! From this time everybody in the World have to learn Russian!!1 =)
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes, and it makes me sad that so many people with native russian language can't speak and write well
Comment has been collapsed.
Or Greek. More fair because it almost became a universal language too, but lost from English. :B
Comment has been collapsed.
It's necessary if you want to use english websites
Comment has been collapsed.
Do you know there is a russian (cyrilic) internet?)
Comment has been collapsed.
I suppose there is, but I don't really see your point
Comment has been collapsed.
We don't need english any more and your nasty english-based internet - now we can use our own native and lovely communistic internet to praise Putin and balalaika
Comment has been collapsed.
It's a general question. We're not forced to learn English only in order to use English websites. :P It's not like we go and get an English diploma and then we say: "Now I can go and use an English website". XD We learn to speak English for another reasons. But who exactly are they?
Comment has been collapsed.
You're not forced to, but then if you get suspended because you can't understand the rules, or if you don't get help because you're asking questions in a different language, you don't get to complain.
Comment has been collapsed.
Why do you keep talking about this website? I'm not talking about websites. I'm talking about why do we need an English certificate for every job and why is it considered necessary by everyone to be able to speak English. So, it's like we're forced to learn them. I wanted to learn to speak German, but English is supposed to be more necessary than German. :P
Comment has been collapsed.
I was talking about this website, because that's what the thread was about. People not talking english on SG.
Comment has been collapsed.
The same reasons Romans who dealt outside of Rome had to learn Greek. Even though Romans were larger in number and influence, it was just the common language at the time. Now English is the common language, even if there are other languages with far more native speakers.
Comment has been collapsed.
So, what's the answer? We must learn them in order to trade with English people? :P Or are we just forced to learn it and we never really have to use it in the way? I don't need an English certificate just to speak English in a website. I have an English certificate, but what's the reason that it's necessary?
Comment has been collapsed.
The reason is that humanity found this language the easiest and most convenient one to be this age's common language, simple as that. All other efforts that tried to change it (using French in international dealings, German as the European common language, Russian as the main language of the socialist block, or even the esperanto experiment) have failed miserably in the past half century.
Comment has been collapsed.
Ok, that's actually an answer. But as another guy said before, it's because of the AMERICA. There was a debate in the past about the language that Americans would speak. If they would speak another language than English, then I'm sure we would have to learn that language. America is affecting everything. :/
Comment has been collapsed.
Not realy. I have friends and they can't speak any language but russian. I wonder how, but they travel to Europe every summer and fell themself ok (=
Comment has been collapsed.
In Greek schools, English is the second language and we can choose a third language between German and French. And we are all "forced" to get an English certificate or else no boss wants us in his job. I have an English certificate. But do I need it just in order to communicate with people through a website? No, I won't start a company with foreign customers. So, why should I have an English certificate? Why every damn job asks for one, even though you will never have to speak English to anyone? xD

If I could choose a brazilian to become mod, I would vote for leomoty that has done a lot for SG back when support was composed by well-known members. (AKA SGv1, good times)
EDIT:
Just to mention that even though he helped a lot, he never asked cg to become mod. I mean, I don't think people who "ask" to be part of staff are not prepared to be.
That reminds me my childhood, I used to host some game servers and the kids begged to become Admins or Moderators o/
I called that "dark age of tibia" =/

was going to write something "smart"

I think everyone can be useful - and help others. Not having a tag or a role shouldn't stop anyone from being helpful. I'd say if a new moderator was needed - they would likely be selected from people who have a track record of being helpful and friendly etc. It's not right to do it the other way - "If you pick me, I'll be useful".

and i'm pretty sure they want someone with Tech background. site modding and such.

Hello again!
I'm a level 5 contributor and i noticed there's no brazilian in moderator or support team. I guess would be great someone who speaks portuguese giving support to brazilians users here, we're increasing the amount of users accessing everyday.
What's necessary to enter?
And sorry if there's no place for this kind of solicitation.
