You won't know until you try to compete with the best =P
I'm a garbage player in every game I ever participated! xD

Same here XD , I only win with dumb luck , or because people expect little of me XD ... hmmmm ... one game I'm good at though is Mortal Kombat X and Soul Calibur 3, but that's because I found cheap spamming moves XD so not really "skill" :P , although I am good at chess and RTS games , simply because I don't plan and attack as soon as I can so other players can't predict what I'm going to do.

Does solitaire count?

On the other hand. I think I'm pretty good at chess. I've stalemated the pc a few time when playing the computer and have even taught people how to play.

Don't think there is any. I'm not competitive at all though so it doesn't particularly bother me.

The games I do best at are probably building/simulation games such as Factorio or No Oxygen Included, but I would not say I am good at them because I have seen people do some amazing things with the tools they are given that make my creations pale in comparison.

End of the day though, I have fun playing them and that is what counts for me.

None, really. I suppose I could say South Park: Stick of Truth because I set it to Hardcore and it was still easy for me (and most people I assume, with the right stragety it's an easy breeze).

I'm really proud of finishing Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row 3 though, there were a few missions that were really difficult for me, but I did manage to beat them fairly quickly. I guess I'm good at those Open World/Shooting/Driving games, those are the games I play the most of and I finished the majority of them (still sitting on Saints Row 2).

I've also been playing Minecraft PVP (more specifically Trouble in Mineville, a TTT clone) for the last four years, before I got into Steam. Not really active anymore, but I'm still #123 of 4M+. That's pretty good I suppose.

Walking Simulators

If consoles count, then Mario games.
I'm unbeatable (around my friends) when it comes to Mario Kart or Super Smash Bros :P

On PC, i'm surprisingly good at platformers even though it's hard for me to pick out the ones I like.

If I haven't stopped at Nintendo DS I'd gladly challenge you in Mario Kart B)

Deus Ex 1. There are still things in the game I haven't done yet, but I did most of the really crazy stuff without any issues, without ever using any glitches, exploits, or memory editing/trainers.

Turrican II

I'm also not too bad at playing Smash TV, but it has been a while since I tried that one.

I kick asses in TrackMania, the real one, not Turbo.

I'll say Psychonauts. I've played it through so many times and I love 3D platformers. Seeing post above reminds me I was pretty good at Mario Kart Double Dash like 15 years ago?, but that was my last Nintendo console so haven't tried any of the later MKs. :-)

For now I'll have to say cs:go. I'm supreme but there are still people that have a low rank and can beat me. But I think I'm good at it.

Really hard to say, honestly. I play all games on "hard" or equivalent difficulty level though nothing comes to mind in recent memory that i did master/research to some ridiculous extent.

Hard like "easy", "normal", "hard"?

or like "easy", "normal", "hard", "very hard"?

Depends on number of options but it's mostly last or second to last difficulty setting. If it's three basic ones i go with "hard" . If it something like wolfenstein and has five i lean towards second to last for the first playthough.

I mostly just play single player games these days, so I don't really have a way to compare my skill with other people anymore, but back in the day I used to be really good at Unreal Tournament and Unreal Tournament 2004.

Sid Meier's Pirates and perhaps Paladins.
On a sidenote: In order to say if one is good (better than say 50% of people) or bad (worse than), wouldn't one need
some kind of scale where players (in our case) would have had their skill "counted" and sorted out by skill level?
In the abscence of that, it's probably false to think that you're not good at DS (No one is :P ) or good at FIFA/NFS
since we are lacking a way to compare.

That being said, there are games with competitive ladders, and therefore rank distribution
And here comes the hard part of where to draw the line and consider someone good or not

TLDR: It's all about perspective.

Pirates is an awesome game. Not difficult once you figure it out, especially the second remake (2004)

I recall getting a 100 win streak - that was awesome. That, and clearing minesweeper in 3 seconds anyone who claims that scores that quick are the result of skill, and not luck, are full of sh*t

But you have to admit, in those games you actually need some skill to finish. Windows Solitaire..thats 100% luck ;p

Solitaire requires some skill (especially if you use default rules, and don't turn 1 card at a time). But yeah, freecell does require skill
