This is a very large task to take on so any attempt is a massively respectable one.
Community's been needing a new thread for free games for a bit now so the contribution is an amazing one and I'm sure everyone's got your back going forward helping you keep the list updated just a they had in Joseahfer's threads.

Just wanted to say thanks for making the new thread, even if it only contains the ones Osztihun pointed out. I do find it odd that there seem to be fewer games going free now than in previous years; I wonder if that's just a coincidence, or if Joseahfer knows a way of finding them that we don't...

The list I linked is not for that. Hence I mentioned that it might be of help to the OP. The list I linked lists all free licenses there are.
It's just, for detailed info regarding anything available on Steam, you just need two sites: SteamDB and Madjoki.

While I get where you're coming from I respectfully decline on the grounds that it may confuse the folks who've been watching these for a while now.

I've been watching them for a while, and the current month was always edited to be the top one, only going back to chronological order afterward (so in this case, it'd be May, then January, then Feb., etc.). It never got moved back down until the month was over.

Looks like the site AmanoTC linked is helpful after all; you just have to search each game listed (manually because the included Steam/SteamDB links don't seem to be working properly) until you find one whose Added date doesn't match its Release date. For example, this one was added 12 hours ago at the time of this post:

Searching each game like this is quite tedious. If this really is how Joseahfer did it, I can see why he wanted to stop.

I think I see a better way going forward; looking at https://steamdb.info/pricechanges/ you can see which ones had a price and no longer do. Some of them end up being no longer available for sale but it shows the one you found as well as a couple others. I'll update the list with those tonight.
Only downside seems to be that it only stores a couple hundred changes, so if I don't catch it within a couple days it's gone.
