That game has been in my wishlist for a very long time because I was waiting for it to get out of early access, and now it's free. I was wondering if it was abandoned or something so I went to the discussions looking for info and apparently the creator has had some extremely shitty last couple of years (cancer).
Welp, I guess free is free regardless of the reasons, doesn't make the circumstances of of how I'm getting a freebie I wanted any less weird tho.

canVERSE looks like it's always been free as far as I can tell (according to steamdb & itad at least) and I don't see any news pointing to it being paid & going free, do you see something to the contrary somewhere?
Gravewood High was last month; as I recall I didn't include it because the cost was moved to DLC so only the multiplayer part is free, though I guess that would count as 📙 so I'll get that in there, thanks!

I’ve noticed today that the iPad Steam app now lets you add these straight to your library. Until recently I had to add them to my wishlist whilst on the ‘pad and then use the Steam client on my desktop to add them to my library properly. I’ve never bothered with the asf stuff but it looks like it might not be as necessary now?
