I wonder. When they say 'Sword Coast Legends will no longer be available to purchase after December', does that mean on steam or in general. If in general, then I need to find a way to get some money together. I loved the Forgotten Realms world.

Yeah, but I'm also not 100% sure since I can't find any 'official' reference for it and Valve seems to be not that forthcoming what the actual amount is, so maybe wait for someone that actually attempted to do so, dunno :s. I edited my initial reply accordingly.

I remember reading a post about a user who had tested this and found it to be something like 8%, FWIW.

You can't be certain with anything any more unless you know someone who has tried. Even if the general rule is 10%.
Maybe buy a key from https://swordcoast.com/buynow

For future reference, as long as someone in your friends list can be gifted it and lives in the appropriate country you want to test, you can just go through the motions of sending a gift until you get an error (or don't).
After typing qwqwqwqw into the Gift Note, the next step will give you
Due to regional price differences, the gift you are trying to send cannot be sent to the recipient's region.
(or not, and then it's alright)

For anyone asking "Is the game good?", first let me explain my perspective, so you'll better know if it would work for you:
I just bought it when the removal was announced, and I've already played it for 11 hours. I played through the prologue of the main campaign (which is 3 acts plus the prologue), then I played one of the dungeon crawls in the random dungeon generator, and then I played through a user-made module I downloaded.
Other games I like include Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Dragon Age: Origins, as well as many other CRPGs and JRPGs. The only D&D rules I really care about being done faithfully are the 3.5 rules, so since this game wasn't 3.5, I'm not concerned about its adherence to the rules. I'm only interested in single player, not multiplayer, so the servers don't concern me either. I'm not planning on making any adventures for this game, but I do intend to play more that others have made. The frame rate isn't very smooth in some of the complex locations, but at least for a tactical RPG that doesn't interfere with the gameplay.
I find the writing to be good and engaging, often funny, and voiced well. The gameplay is exactly like Dragon Age: Origins. I prefer turn-based, but realtime with pause is okay. You create your character. You have full party control. You can outfit and stat all party members as you please, control any of them directly at any time, send your rogue ahead to scout for traps or secret doors, or do sneak attacks to start an encounter while keeping your other party members out of sight, etc. You have a base camp where you can talk to your companions and start their personal side quests. You have an extensive journal and codex separated into a bestiary, characters, and locations. There's branching dialogue with a good set of options, as well as skill checks. There are plenty of optional side quests, some with multiple resolution options. I like all of these things.
The random dungeon crawl mode is a nice diversion if you just want some tactical combat.
The user-made module I played showed the limitation of the modding tools, with things missing that were in the campaign, like branching dialogue, journal entries, and companion comments, but the author worked within the limitations to deliver a fun experience with chained quests, and a final boss fight that gave me a real challenge.
I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and I recommend the game.

Question for you, unrelated to Sword Coast...
I have BG1:EE and haven't even left the starter Tavern yet. Mostly installed it and fired it up to get a quick feel & see if I wanted to buy BG2 and Planescape at this time.
I'm just a little put off by the graphics in BG1 (no big deal) and semi-choppy animation (again not too much of an issue).
I realise the game engine is old...
I'm wondering if BG2:EE and Planescape: Torment: EE are any "better" game engine wise.
I'm sure I'll enjoy the game play aspects of these games, though I'm not a big DnD fan.
These 3 mentioned titles are big and I should probably go watch a gameplay on youtube.
I thought I'd ask. I know I want most of those DnD games, but my backlog is keeping me from spending the $12.22 for the bundle atm. Sword Coast I decided not to get due to not being a big fan of DnD (its ok, but I don't know one ruleset from another) and the fact that there is a new Sword Coast game "soon" to be released.
Thanks for your thoughts on them. I might even write the same question some day in the Steam forums. :)
And I agree with Calibr3, nice post. :)

I only own the original versions of those games, not the EEs, so I don't know how those feel, but if they're essentially like the originals, I can say that of the three, BG2's engine feels the best. I used a mod to play BG1 in the BG2 engine, in fact. I also used a resolution mod, which increased the visible area while leaving the graphics at the same size, which, on a modern monitor, made them proportionately smaller, so they weren't so pixelated.
PS:T, unfortunately, is the worst of the three as far as the engine goes (combat, movement, interface), though it's the best in terms of dialogue and choice, and it has a much more interesting setting. You can increase the FPS, smoothing out the animation somewhat by going into the advanced configuration and raising the rendering rate, but this will also increase the actual speed of the game, which you may not want.
Hope that helps.

I played BG1 right after finishing Pillars of Etrnity, and boy, was Í put off by the graphics, they were worse than I remembered them from the origianl. but hey, once you get over it you will not even notice how bad they are anymore, they games are still good. I think the graphics in BG2 are a bit better than in the first game, cannot speak for PT:EE as I have not played it yet.

Thanks.
Still undecided as to "when" to purchase, due to my evergrowing backlog...
But Planescape: Torment is on the top of my list.
I'm all about a good story.
I've watched 2 review videos so far.

Thanks again Luckz.
I decided to buy Torment and put BG2 and the Sword DLC on hold.

Same happens to me and they declined my order. I didn't use any vpn. I asked a Russian friend to buy the 5-pack for me and it worked for him. In the end I saved 6+ euros. Thanks gamersgate.

Does Sword Coast Legends Digital Deluxe Edition Campaign give you 5x copies of deluxe edition? Or one deluxe, and 4 extra standards?

I can vouch for sesito71, he helped me when trying to buy the game from the Russian Gamersgate site (I couldn't find any VPN or proxy that worked) and everything went smooth. The Steam key, as many people have already pointed out, activated fine on my account (Spain).

Official site and gamersgate still have sale price.

Bah! I had intended to buy this off Steam while it was still on sale, but time ran out. Thank God I can still buy it at reduced cost from GG or its official website. P

NOTE: Bought the normal version on steam and apparently got the deluxe stuff too

How to check whether or not, I got the deluxe stuff? I missed the deadline on Steam, so I bought the normal version on Wingamesore, which was slightly cheaper than Steam and the best I could find without using a VPN or asking someone from the RU/CIS region to get it for me. I think I can live just fine without those deluxe things, but I'd still like to check whether I got them.

Same here, I did manage to get a copy of Skyrim off there for even cheaper though.
