Hi there :D

First of all, sorry if my english is bad.

So, some time ago, 2 guys stole my netbook, noy only with my university files, also with +150 unfinished projects of music and i had 2 songs ready to upload, but i lost them.....until yesterday, looking for plugins and samples for start again in my old pendrive, i found them.

You can listen from this links:

Chillstep (soft, calm):https://soundcloud.com/maxwellm2/away-from-her

Electro (Dance):https://soundcloud.com/maxwellm2/waiting

Why i made this? I want to know your opinion, i love making music, and i want to improve, i am learning a lot of stuff but my own research and i need an opinion, good or bad.

BTW, IF the sound isn't that good, i am sorry, i cant do anything, i have the .mp3 files, but not the projects.

2nd BTW: i want a new name but i am not sure wich one choose, i think about MaSi, a childhood nickname but i am not sure.

Well if you got already got opinions from a music forum, then i don't really see a reason why would you ask for opinions here, considering they came from (probably) skilled artist. Ask them again to point out your issues with your tracks, ppl learn and improve by mistakes :P

Musically they do nothing for me. Not my cup of tea, but I can try to give you some objective criticism, if you want that at all.
The electronic track seems to have no mids? Only high and low frequencies. It's also a bit... boring. The bassline really ruins it for me. If the bassline wasn't just a sub with two notes it woould be a waaaay better song. Also try out some other VSTs. This all sounds really preset-ish and generic. I don't mean to offend you, just my two cents. Sylenth1 is great for beginners and FM8 is amazing at providing unique sounds with an analogue flavor, but more difficult to handle. What you've got going is a somehwat good mastering though. I gotta give you that. I never came close to something as clean as this. I always had other people do it for me (if it was a commercial release at least).
The chill song is alright. Not much to complain there except for subjective opinions about structure and composing, otherwise decent.

I'd also recommend some sample packs. Deadmau5 Xfer, Vengeance (they got a shitload for every genre) or Maschine (best one imo).

Thanks for your opinion.

I understand you, when i make this itineration of the song -because, it was on my old netbook, and the sound crash, so i habe to make .mp3 demos for editing later- i was cutting frequencies, maybe i will re built everything and boost somethings and change the bassline.

Thanks for the recomendation, i will search for Maschine.

The first track is really relaxing and sounds well arranged, though it doesn't catch me personally. It's nice to hear, but it provides no inspiration for me. But I have to mention that I'm more into rock and its sub genres. Lyrics are also very important to me. As another user already suggested: it might work well as a soundtrack.

Regarding the second track: personally I don't like the high frequencies. They could be more "dirtier', more experimental, though I don't know if that would match your personal goal for it. If your intention was a 'happy', clean EDM/handsup track, you got it, but that's not my cup of tea (except of late party nights and being drunken xD).

Keep it up and thanks for the GA!

Chillstep wasn't very soft and calm due to the overpowering percussions (namely the beat from the snare, bass drum and hi hat). That looping chorus could work for a chillstep track but it felt monotonous to me. The notes for the chorus track can be kept the same but maybe progressively alter it (tempo, repeater, flanging, phaser maybe?)

Electro didn't really work as a dance track in my opinion. The melody didn't really catch me and that "ah~" SFX was awkward. It started off as some sort of drum n bass that changes into trap. I know trap is popular in clubs but the trap part of your song was missing something and I'm not sure what.
