It's actually really encouraging that every solver so far is saying pretty much the same things that I intended regarding the difficulty, but I'd really like to hear from some of the people who aren't solving it as well. Are you guys not liking the format, not having luck with Google, stuck on a few questions, or what? Let me know where you're giving up and why so I can make better puzzles in the future.

I gave it a shot and got Q1-Q10 right, but I couldn't solve the last one. My two problems with Q11 are:
-The Q6 part: I have no idea of the name of the character who said the Q6 quote. I have found one thing that might be correct, but I got there in a very obscure way, and since it was so much harder than the rest of the quotes, I'm thinking I might be on the wrong track.
-The Q7 part: I get it to 7 characters, not 6. Perhaps you have included a 7 character variation, and it's only the Q6 part that I get wrong. Since it's only one question, it's hard to know if I'm wrong on both, or just one, and in that case - which one.

The speaker of Q6 is something that even a lot of people who play the game don't know, so making people give the name there is intentional. I was very tempted to add "And yes, Q6 has a name, you insensitive jerk" somewhere in the puzzle.
As for Q7, I said letters, not characters. I was hoping that "letters" would eliminate any confusion there, especially since the correct seven character answer and the incorrect six character answer both work. It's not supposed to be nitpicky.

Statistical bump time: About one in four people seem to be solving this, which is something that I had no idea about how to predict without actually doing a puzzle. This is what I would consider a "medium" difficulty puzzle, with bias toward good google skills. Coming at this with my own gaming experience, I would still need to google about four of these. Knowing the list of games as well, I would still need to google one of them. I was tempted to give the list of games, but I decided not to in order to see what would happen. I think I chose correctly.
I say that everyone who wants to solve it is doing so, because nobody's telling me otherwise. m3rc is the only one who posted about not having answers and didn't make it to the giveaway, but he also didn't come back to mention where he got stuck, so... I don't know if I really need to give hints at all. If you are still stuck and do want to solve the puzzle, speak up!

I decided to give away a copy of my favorite point and click adventure game of all time: The Longest Journey.
And as is fitting for a point and click adventure, there's a puzzle. And as is fitting for The Longest Journey, it may be a little mean.
The puzzle involves ten memorable quotes from my top ten favorite games ever made. The Longest Journey is not included, because I don't want to spoil anything for anyone via accidental googling. Most of these are not Steam games, so just to help you out a bit, you're looking for 2 NES, 2 SNES, 1 N64, 1 Game Boy, 1 DS, 1 non-steam PC, and 2 steam games. But you're not naming the games, because that would be too easy. Instead, you're going to be filling in the blanks that I have conveniently placed over certain words in the quotes. Don't worry, though, because I've Google tested everything that looked hard and all but one can be Googled without any psychic powers.
My hint for that one? There's a certain game that you should absolutely expect to find on the list of my ten favorite games.
The giveaway will run for a week, ending at midnight on the 25th, PST. If nobody's able to solve it within a day or two, or a lot of people are really stuck on certain questions, I'll add more useful hints.
Once you do solve it, make sure you post a comment in the giveaway, because I intend to check through a couple of the early solvers' Steam profiles and make sure they have some other games that I really enjoyed. If I add you on Steam after solving, make sure you accept it.
EDIT: Here are the solutions. As you can see, I included a lot of answers to avoid being nitpicky, including the posess typo from the Solstice ending. The intended solution to #10 was to figure out that my username is from a video game - once you know that it's a Final Fantasy 6 quote, it's much easier to Google. Making people find Amber's name may have been a bit mean, but I wanted one more hard question.
For reference, here is a list of ten games that everyone should play:
Chrono Trigger (SNES)
Deus Ex (Steam)
Solstice: The Quest for the Staff of Demnos (NES)
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors (DS)
Dragon Warrior 4 (NES)
Blast Corps (N64)
Planescape: Torment (Non-Steam PC)
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Steam)
Final Fantasy Legend 3 (GB)
Final Fantasy 6 (SNES)
