Just did it!Played pirate vers of MK Komplete Edition, loved it!(Took me 30 minutes to fall in love with game) then came moment when i bought the game just to support game devs, i could have continued to play cracked, but it was so good i felt urge to give devs my hard earned money! And it feels fckin great!

Has anyone else had same experience?

I have done it several times, but I stopped. The last one I did was MW3 for IW5M.

I used to pirate games, but games are just so cheap anymore that it doesn't seem worth the trouble.

I always pirate games that cost more than 15€ or so. If I like them, I wait for their price to drop and then buy them. I don't have that much money to spend in a 50€ game that I might not like.

I only wanted to point one thing:

Piracy is only bad, for cases like the game "Deadpool". 5 minutes of gameplay were enough to make me uninstall it, delete the image, and never buy it, and even if it happens to appear in a bundle I buy, I'll just trade that piece of crap.

Before Steam happened, you simply couldn't find cheap games, boxed versions of even very old games still had a high price.

After Steam, and sales, and bundles... nowadays there is no real need to pirate games, if you can wait a month or 2 you will find the game at half price, add 2 more months and you're almost guaranteed to find the game at around 15$ somewhere (if you have an important backlog and can afford to wait more than 6 months, you'll get every game at 5-7$... well, except Blizzard ones)...

I had this feeling lots of times. I don't play pirated version of game if I feel that it's really good. I try to buy it then.

The only proper use of a pirated game is submitting it to the "delete" button.

Only games I pirated that worked were emulated pokemon games, tried pirating a silent hill game, tried about 5 times torrenting didn't work and took like a day each time, when i finally managed to install crashed so i never pirated games again, for real... not even to "demo" it

I feel OK to install a pirated game to try it if the devs do not provide demo.
But if I like it and going to play it further I would buy it for sure.

I usually played on a friend's computer since I have a bandwidth cap, making pirating useless.

I bought a copy of FF7 on the PC a few years ago from eBay (I had it on PS1 as a kid too). Turned out it was a copied/pirated set of discs that also had a bunch of extras on it (full OSTs, scripts, FMV files, wallpapers etc etc). The seller was removed before I even complained, but I kept it all anyway AND got a refund. I didnt get FF7 again until it was released on Steam.
