It's also noteworthy to mention that the game will be released as a trilogy. Meaning there will be TW: Warhammer 2 and 3 in the works after the first game is released.
And CA grew so much that I'm guessing there will be a dedicated dev team for this series alone while others continue work on other IPs.

I'm cautiously optimistic for this game. I liked warhammer mark of chaos but it always felt like a cheap total war. I enjoyed attila greatly and rome II was suficiently repaired and has allowed for some cool mods.
I just hope there's a new engine for warhammer, warscape seems too limited for a warhammer battle.

Wait what? Where did I say that turn based gameplay is a mistake? And since when Rome 2 Attila is NOT turn based? I said, that Rome 2 was a piece of shit due to TONS of bugs, terrible optimization and DLCs that were normally a part of the game and was brutally cut from it. I'm dedicated fan of total war series since Shogun 1 and I'd never declare that turnbase system is a mistake. Come on, half RTS works on it.

Haha yeah my honest mistake, some people have been trying to lobby for TW to go full RTS like other similar titles and after reading "and if they finally will learn from their mistakes it's going to be RTS" I mistook that for you wanting the game to go full RTS as well.
Honestly this announcement doesn't really hype me at all, if anything it annoys me, Attila still has horrible bugs that haven't been acknowledged or addressed yet & it's been 2 months and there's still no word on fixes yet they can already show us a trailer for the next title.

Meh, knowing the CA you can pretty much expect a reskin of rome2/attilla, they're still using the same engine they've been using since empire total war.
Oh and The CA and gameplay trailers aren't to be trusted either, they dumped some let's play videos on youtube before rome 2 was released which ended up containing units (camel cataphracts) that were cut from the main game to be sold later as DLC, needless to say a lot of people got quite annoyed with that.

Since i don't see anyone mentioning this, it's already confirmed that it will be "split" into 3 parts. The base game will only have 4 factions and they're gonna release more in 2 Standalone Expansions(and the less popular factions probably as DLC).
It already has Empire, Dwarves, Greenskins and Vampire Counts in the base game. I'm thinking Chaos, High Elves, Wood Elves and Dark Elves in another, and Bretonia, Skaven, Tomb Kings and maybe Lizardmen in the other one. With stuff like Ogre Kingdoms, Kislev, Beastmen, etc as simple DLC. Tho i could see them making one expansion Chaos only with it split into Khorne, Tzeentch and Nurgle(i don't see them putting Slaneesh in the game). and the other with the 3 elf factions while selling the rest as separate DLC.
