I'm not sure how many that actually signed up from here, but I'm glad to say we got a noticeable boost in players signed up now with no prior experience of our games ^^ that's great. It's not enough for a full test group yet, but it might be soon, or we’ll figure something out.
Thanks everyone who signed up after setting this :) It will really help a lot to make the gem good and friendly to new players.

Ah, yeah, we need tome place to handle communication and setup during tests, so we need a robust platform for communication with plenty of options, so discord is our best bet. And managing multiple platforms for people with different preferences would add a lot of work for us, and it's time we should spend on the development where possible. Hope that sounds reasonable, but I understand if you don't want to sign up for another platform. I just wanted to explain our motivation behind that choice.

There is no easy way to say this, and some of you might have seen a few hints of this already, but Coilworks are sadly in an economically difficult situation. We've tried our best for the past months to resolve this, talking to investors and publishers and so on, but we’ve sadly run out of time. We stayed hopeful and held out as long as we could, as there clearly were a lot of interest in the game, but we can’t hold out any longer and are forced to shut down all active development, and close our office.
Coilworks is gone. If you want to say goodbye to the devs of the Cloudbuilt franchise you should stop by the Sky Tracers Discord. I'm happy that Gafgar (Creative Director at Coilworks and OP for this thread) managed to land a job with Coffee Stain Studios and I hope the rest of the team is recognized for their talents as well.

I'm one of the devs from Coilworks, who previously released Super Cloudbuilt on Steam (and other places too) last summer:

We are currently working on our new Multiplayer game Sky Tracers and are looking for some players interested in testing the game early and in that way help out shaping its future.
We've not released much info about it yet, but if Super Cloudbuilt seems the least bit interesting, I would urge you to give Sky Tracers a shot :) it's a fair bit different, but we are building on the same engine and our experience from that game. We are currently focusing on one particular multiplayer mode, but might add more modes later on depending on time and feedback/interest.
So far most people signed up for the alpha are veteran Cloudbuilt and Super Cloudbuilt players, but we would be very happy to see some more players with no prior experience of our games.
