I know this isn't what the topic is about (Although I do agree with what OP says), but I wanna say this anyways- Indie developers need Christmas money for their families, too. This sale, try to pick up some nice indie titles. You never know what you may find. I have a few suggestions to get your started-
Games that are/were in bundles:
Again, sorry for hijacking the thread, but I wanna do a mini-PSA and tell everyone to maybe take that $60 you were gonna spend on CoD or Battlefield, and expand your horizons by buying 8 or 9 indie games with that money.

Or alternatively take a hint and don't buy one of the multiplayer focused games whose communities you know act like dicks towards each other. There are hundreds, no, thousands of other good games out there!
I take implying that people absolutely have to buy one of these two for Christmas as an insult to gaming. :P

Lately I've been seeing a lot of negativity about Call of Duty:Ghosts and about Battle Field 4;people's opinions of the game have been somewhat mixed many favoring BF4 over cod for various reasons which isn't important in regards to the point I want to make. The truth is negativity encourages blind hate and possibly encourages developers to try harder to make better games (we'll see) but it doesn't help developers improve them i.e. hate is spread without reason and evidence sometimes. Sometimes the hate is valid sometimes its toxic and involves abuse online. But yet again hate about a game isn't always going to be reflected in your experiences so in light of this fact I would recommend trying out these games before you buy rather than reading reviews because this will give you a more accurate understanding of how much you will enjoy the game by beta, demo or through a friends copy or by other means. Just remember when buying your games that we are not the same and our opinions vary.
