Oh yes, Internet Explorer is by far the fastest...

Jokes aside though, read up about some browsers here and decide for yourself. Should have included Maxthon 3 though as it is the fastest browser out.

Comment has been collapsed.

Exactly. But, I really like the marathon between FF and Chrome. Chrome has really fired up the whole browser development scene and now everyone is trying to get ahead in the curve by doing something different differently. i.e. WebMaker is awesome!

I have even had 200+ tabs open in chrome at one time. Try doing that in FF, your pet snail will laugh at it.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Wtf do you need to have 200+ tabs open for in the first place? Learn to close some damn tabs...lol

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

My max in Firefox was 386 tabs open at ONE TIME!!

BTW Chrome has LOTS of issues with Flash Player and Youtube plays at 25 FPS.

Its not exactly the tab count, that counts. Its the memory consuming per tab thats what matters. I was oversimplifying things to make it more comprehensible for others.

I hardly face issues with chrome and I don't know about youtube playing at 25fps. I'll check it sometime later.

The benchmarks I remember showed Firefox to be the best in terms of memory and lots of tabs. See for example this.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Yes, I agree. I am wrong at memory management.

(Updated info : http://www.ghacks.net/2012/06/21/chrome-uses-way-more-memory-than-firefox-opera-or-internet-explorer/)

Look at other perspectives. Chrome out-performances everyone by a wide margin in other tests.

Hehehe... testes.

Quite the contrary, it's the reason I use Firefox. I have hundreds of tabs open all the time, and only Firefox allows me to show several tab rows and have several tab groups.

One should try doing it in IE but one should have an extinguisher nearby...

You should take a look at the features available and not just raw performance. It's a solid video, but it only looks at specific performance issues.
