Gonna begin in development after battleborn, devs aren't sure of it's name being borderlands 3 though.

Cool. I just hope they make some changes to the game and not a copy paste of BL2

That's great to hear. I just hope they'll make the single-player more fun than it was in Borderlands 2. I assume it'll take them a year or two to make the new Borderlands, that gives me plenty time to finish B2 and hopefully I'll be able to afford Pre-Sequel sometimes before that, probably not gonna happen though.

Yeah I am aware of that, but it's just the base game. If a game has DLCs that add more content then I'm not going to play it unless I have all or at least the most important DLCs.

"It's actually Borderlands 4: The Search for Borderlands 3."

That would be such a bold move for them to release a forth game without releasing a third one (or releasing it later). It would certainly get more attention that it would deserve and probably could change gaming history. Why didn't anyone think about it before?

Doesn't apply to OSes or apps. It applies to games or movies because they usually have a story and sequels usually mean a continuation, people would be intrigued at such a skip.

nice, maybe they should address some issues they already had in the 3 previous games.
skills that improve by 1% each lv, lv1-4 without skills, enemies with millions of hp, useless legendary weapons, useless ultimate skills.

I got all 3 games and found them to be insufferably boring. Maybe coop is where it shines?

So, it will start development after they are finished with Battleborn. Which means BL3 confirmed for 2024? Still, if they put Pickle as the only playable character, it'll be worth it.

Haven't played any besides the first, gets dull and repetitive.

Check the second and stop your character after the second play through before switching to the next. Also, not playing the commando helps a lot to avoid boredom. :)

Second playthrough? I got bored with the first midway through playing it, had to push myself to finish it once :P.

BL2 tries to throw a lot of things in your way to do stuff all the time and avoid too much travelling or grinding at first. It's generally considered a vast improvement overall, even if some of the battle mechanics in BL1 can be favoured.
Also, it has Gaige and a Japanese dub. The combination of the two makes it worth.

BL2 is the same as 1, 1 active skill only, all boring passives, same 5 weapon models with just different stats, bullet sponge enemie,...

Comment has been collapsed.

Uhm, yes, one active skill, that is the point in the franchise. It's not a Blizzard game where you need 20 buttons because you spam all of them and the one who spams faster wins. :)
As for skills themselves… yes, constant gripe even in the community. This is why a good number of people fear for Battleborn: if gearbox couldn't balance out a game in 4 years that was a simple PvE concept, what will they do with a purely PvP one?

Pardon me but if they wont refresh the mechanics and just throw once again BL2 with just few new but not-so-new things then I'm out as a Borderlands fan

As long as Anthony Burch isn't writing it... maybe it'll be good.
Some of the stuff in BL2 just showed utter contempt for the people buying and playing the game. That is some straight up horse shit, not to mention a poor business model.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel = Borderlands 0, so I'll be ok with Borderlands 3... or even a 0.5.

But, I disliked all 3 games. Despite me playing them so many hours, its just a mindless grind really.

Maybe this time they even make the game FUN! I literally fall asleep with this game.

I like the Borderlands world a lot, but I can't bring myself to play the games since they are so repetitive and with such a boring combat system. You have only 1 skill, everything else is passives. Sure there are bajilion (or whatever word they used) weapons, but they are 99% worthless weapons that you will never use and 99% of them are boring as hell. If they actually make some improvements by introducing more skills, maybe a way for you to create your own weapon from different parts, then I will buy it right away. If it's just the same old boring Borderlands the last 3 were, I will be 100% skipping it.

I hope TellTale make more Borderlands games, I loved the story and characters of Tales from the Borderlands.
