Long answer: Colonial Marines was buggy on release, is it theft if you pirated that? Duke Nukem Forever wasn't as good as it was supposed to be, is that theft? They were just giving away Stealth Bastard in the Humble Bundle, so what's a few cents to them?

You can still do it if you want, just don't justify it to yourself by saying "well, they lied so it's okay." If you want to pirate it, just admit it's because you don't want to pay.

No, theft is theft, piracy is piracy. They are two distinct entities. You would still be pirating WarZ, but you would not be stealing it.

yes it would be, because when companies do it, its called 'business', and when governments do it, its 'taxation'. consumers are the only ones who dont get to call it anything other than theft to get away with it.

Piracy of software is a confusing subject, as in every sense of the word it is an unfair thing to do to the persons involved in whatever you are downloading, but it doesn't really fit the definition for "theft" as for something to be a theft you must prevent anyone from legitimately owning the thing in question, which piracy doesn't do.

As for pirating War Z, what's the point? You're just going to end up playing a really shitty game.

If you were never going to pay for the game to begin with, go for it. They don't exactly lose money for it. Who knows, maybe you will feel it deserves the money and you might buy it... OR at least I would do that. :p I done it I mean.
