I really need to keep a list of what themes I've used in the previous months. I think I'll go with Wishlisted wins since i plan to play Death of the Outsider and The darkside detective at least.

Idling fucks up my gameplay times, especially that I tend to try games for only a short amount of time, and often return only later. (Unfinished wins)
I'll try
Silence of the Sleep
The Forest of Doom
And maybe 1954 Alcatraz

Omensight just got an update yesterday that supposedly fixes the uncontrollable kb+m scheme issue. I think once I am done with the last Resident Evil 7 DLC and its challenges, it will be time to put this claim to the test.

Abyss: The Wraiths of Eden
My first ever HOG game~Reminds me of the good ol' days playing I Spy as a kid. It's actually one of the first videogames I played on PC(I normally don't consider the ones I played as a small small kid my first few PC games since they didn't get me into PC gaming, but in actuality I played I Spy, a random undersea adventure game with fishes as characters, and Harry Potter spell casting game thingy among some other small games way before what I would consider the first PC games I discovered which are Minecraft and LoL. Ofc there's also the fact that my mom didn't really let me play much since I was born with slight astigmatism). My mom got me it(I think actually pirated it, since I remembered that it came in a copied CD) to help me learn English. :3

One thing I did notice was that I'm not as patient as when I was a kid. Perhaps it's because nowadays we live in an information explosion era and we're used to things going lightning fast. I don't have nearly enough patience to play Pokemon, Harvest Moon. HOG kinda fits in that sorta category, but it's better since there's less unnecessary delays, but it did made the actual HOG sessions a bit less enjoyable, especially when I have only one object left and I can't for the life of me find it(was doing no hints run for the first playthrough)

And OMG this game is a freaking horror game. Damn steam with its missing horror tags. >.> Yes, from me saying this game is a horror you can see how bad I am with horror games. It's the most cheesy ones too! The jump scaredy, cheap atmospheric background music kind. It's like, I will kinda know like: "There's probably an incoming jump scare. " but I still gets scared. In the end, after turning off the music and putting on my own, it felt much better(I still got scared a few times after that, but it's less creepy). The story is just not engaging enough for me to endure and actually kinda like it like Puzzle Agent, and the Legates aren't that scary. It's just the cheap jump scares. ;-;

Now yes, I will talk about its story. Coincidence much? Not logical at all? This story is just kinda silly. Characters are one-dimensional, lines are cheesy AF, and the animation oh lord, is bad. I legit laughed the first time a character spoke cuz the lip sync is so bad. xD Oh and the ending plot twist is not really that shocking since you can kinda guess it, but what I don't get is how did we turn it around? It's like, OH PLOT TWIST, here's a thing that you press and press again and then you defeated the bad guy good job clap clap. Like, wat? 0-0

Overall, this game is ok. Story is meh, gameplay is ok, characters are laughable but I guess they work. Oh and idk if it's just me, but the HOG sections in bonus chapter was very laggy. Only HOG sections, others are fine, which is weird. Also, I totally ship Greg and Robert. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Puzzle Agent 2
I was actually really looking forward to the sequel of Puzzle Agent since it left me with a surprising good impression with the horror element. I was really disappointed however since it did not met my expectation and lacks in some aspects that made the previous one great.

The puzzle is not as good as the first one, especially several number sequence puzzles that frantically you can only guess them. Like, how am I suppose to notice it's the number sequence of "pi"? I didn't and don't need to memorize that since all I needed was "3.14" or at most "3.14159" to calculate stuff. I did enjoy some of the other ones, but there's not much innovation from the first one.

Let's talk about story. It's the biggest disappointment. It completely lost the charm of the first game where there's really impressive atmosphere and creepiness build up that makes you feel on edge most of the times, and the final reveal is also unnerving and left you wanting more. Honestly I wouldn't be unhappy if they just left it there. The mystery that never gets solved. But noooooo, they had to make a sequel. Sure, I can dig it if it has the same feel. But noooooo, it had to be some bullshit government stuff. You could have came up with far more interesting plots for the Hidden People, like if they're aliens and are capturing people to do experiments to figure out how human works. Too cheesy? Maybe go with they are eating those human's brains that they have trained with puzzles since well stimulated brains has more nutrition or shit like that. But noooooo, they had to be fucking searching for home. I guess seeing the innkeeper and Bjorn being suspicious and then the astronaut at the start got my hopes up. I thought it's gonna add a new mystery and creepy aspect. But alas, I'd say I would actually like them to not explain anything at all. Bring more mystery for us to guess and speculate on.

On a good note, the voice acting is still pretty good. Really enjoyable. Innkeeper is as lovely as always, and bigfoot is so adorable omg. xD The way it roars, stops and then just walks away. :3

This is why sometimes sequels should have never been made. :< Still a decent game, but I suppose hype and expectations really does effect one's ability to enjoy a game.

Beat Forgotton Anne and highly recommend it! I wrote a review.
Aviary Attorney doesn't allow in-game screenshots, but I uploaded one of my ending. While I have several minor complaints, overall really enjoyed this and it was more interactive than I was expecting.
Considering this month was crazy, definitely successful and enjoyed what I played!

I just started and finished Tacoma. The Jackal, and Teslagrad within the last 2 weeks. Now I'm looking at doing Home. Also recently finished Silence of the Sleep.

Home will fulfill the short wins challenge.

Unfortunately I have entered hundreds of giveaways and not won. Wish me luck this month! Maybe then I'll be able to participate. :)

The average win rate is something like 1 per 1000 entries. Giving away more games and leveling up greatly increases your odds. Good luck.

Agree that 300 isn't that many in the grand scheme of things. Keep an eye out on the discussions, often people include giveaways or trains. Might find something you're interested in with fewer entries. :)

I've participated every month this year and I had a plan to complete the year with a different challenge every month. Also last year I probably never missed one. From now on I will still play won games but without any commitment. I have a moment in my life in which commitments are overwhelming and when I can play I wanna play whatever I feel right in that moment, not what I decided at the beginning of the month. I'm not criticizing, it was actually really fun for me to honor the contributors who gifted me games that way as long as I could, and I'm grateful for all users who had the ideas for the challenges, but from now on I simply need to approach games in a more spontaneous way.
In any case, regardless of challenges, I will always play games that I won on Steamgifts! :)
