I'm not sure if it would give you a "preorder key" or a "retail key".

As far as I'm concerned, the TF2 items are exclusive bonuses for preordering on Steam, but I may be mistaken.

i've completely given up on preordering any games ever since FC3. not even a month, the prices dropped. never again, i say. unless of course it's a game that i really want then i'd preorder it

Ever since Oblivion GOTY came out, I wait until the GOTY/Ultimate/Complete editions are down to $20 or less when I purchase games. I'm sure as hell not spending as much money on DLC as I did for the main game.

Game doesn't have DLC? ---I'll wait until it's $5 or 75% off, whichever's less.

those "exclusive" preorder offers gets me everytime... it's probably the only reason why i ever preorder games. i just think that the game feels incomplete without those extra contents...

The code works on Tomb Raider as well.

Between the already lowered price and the 25% off, I got it for around $30. If there's a sale within a month of the games release that lowers the price past that... well, I'll chalk it up to a loss. And at least I'll get it on release day this way. Can't say I regret pre-ordering too much.
