Ahaha. This is another epic act, surely worth remembering for a long long time.

Actually that explanation of what happened is way better than most I've read in gaming blogs, lot's of redactors trying to write about a game they don't understand in a way that the readers think they know their shit.

Most of the ships were small ones concentrating their fire in the Titans(only 3 went down).

Also, those 3 titans costs as much to buy and manufacture as 500-1000 of the other ships, the value(in ingame currency) of the total loses is stupidly huge.

That's the thing about EVE, if you take the time to get into it, you get one hell of a reward.
But damn you need to put a lot of time into it... :D

I have always wanted to play this game, but it's such a MASSIVE time sinc that I would be left with only time to sleep, eat and shit.

^ this.

I have a friend that had a working economy *), but he said it needed too much time, so he quit.

*) = semi-automated stuff, so he earned enough to have 5 accounts running simultaneously without investing real money.

This is why I don't play a MMO unless I know what I'm doing. I don't want to be a Leeroy lol.

But they kinda knew what they were doing, except getting a bit too cocky after the mess up. The human error commited essentially amounts to pressing "cut" instead of "paste" in a pop up menu.

They asked for help but then decided what the heck, we can kill those guys, bring the other guys. Except most of the galaxy in that part decided to hop in and fight against them. Charlie foxtrot ensues.

yep, if they still didn't move apart the "jump" and "bridge" commands in the context menu, it's very easy to miss. and very costly.
